部屋の大きさや設備は良かった。またマッターホルンが玄関先で見えた。

玄関まで約100段の階段があり、スーツケースを持った身では辛かった。また洗濯機があればもっと快適だった。 部屋の前に樅ノ木があり部屋からマッターホルンが全く見えなかった。

Tip - read the instructions closely, including the links. We failed to do so and had some difficulty getting the keys and finding the apartment. Our mistake!!! Once we sorted things out, the host at the rental office was very polite and helpful! The kitchen was outdated, 70s style, but was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and some niceties; tee, seasonings, etc. Great hot water throughout; it was nearly instant! We discovered, well after checkout, that we had left an expensive item in the room. The rental office staff were very helpful in getting us back into the apartment to retrieve it!

First, be aware of this - there are over 95 stair steps to Apartment Kondor and no alternative routes! If you have numerous or heavy bags, you'll be in for a workout! The apartment was clean and mostly comfortable but very stark and bare. Add a lamp or two and some color! The bed was okay but too soft for our liking. There was a pair of hide-away wall beds and a sleeper sofa but it was strange that you couldn't use both at the same time due to the arrangement. The terrace area was nice, with a couple of chairs and a table, but there was no gate in the fencing so as to access the yard beyond. There was the potential for an incredible view of the Matterhorn but it was obstructed by a large, full tree. The only way to access the view was to go into the yard, but again, no gate. There was no microwave oven! That seemed very odd for an apartment. Also, no replacement bags for the trash or bags to facilitate recycling. Zermatt seems to encourage recycling but without bags this was difficult, especially given that the nearest trash/recycle point was at the bottom of the 95 stairs!

Mattresses on beds are very poor….the sofa bed is also very uncomfortable and bedding was not left out as requested …sofa covers were stained
