Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, with fresh fruit, jam, various types of tasty bread, ham, cheese, yoghurt, freshly pressed juice... the best we had all along during our 10 day road trip. The manor and gardens are very atmospheric and decorated in such ways that you feel like a time traveler, going back to the better days of the past. Outside, many parrots, parakeets and love birds in aviaries - as well as the lovely house dog keep you company. Beautiful pool (which we didn't use, but did look very inviting). A great retreat if you visit Versailles.
The ramp up the drive proved too steep and bumpy for our (lower than average) car - resulting in damage. (We have never faced this issue before). Booking cannot be cancelled from 14 days prior to the actual stay.

Prachtige tuin met heerlijk zwembad. Bij aankomst stond de vriendelijke eigenaar (met een grote hond, ik ben geen hondenliefhebber maar deze lobbes gaf geen enkele overlast) ons op te wachten en bracht ons naar onze comfortabele kamer met breed bed, eenvoudige maar prima badkamer. Bank met tv en een klein keukentje. De airco was heel fijn gezien de hoge temperaturen. Het ontbijt in de prachtige serre was heerlijk.
Dat tijdens ons verblijf 2e week augustus veel restaurants in de omgeving gesloten waren.
