Hotel is located in a chic and quaint neighbourhood of Shanghai, also known as the French Concession area. It's abt 15 mins walk to Wukang mansion and there are many good coffee roasteries and brunch cafes around within walking distance. There is a Metro station just beside the hotel (line 1). They gave us a free room upgrade, room size was huge and comfortable. Housekeeping was spotless. Gym was well equipped, facing the indoor swimming pool.

Not a deal breaker, just that lighting system was weird, it's either you turn off all the lights or all turned on. Even the partial turned on lights are too bright for someone who wants to sleep first. Pillows are too soft.

Location of the property was good - Next to train station, about <100m from a convenience store. Staff was excellent in handling our special requests (we had to make use of their freezer to store some breast milk) Staff was helpful when resolving our issues with China apps like Meituan Rooms were spacious, beds were exceptionally comfortable. Rooms were very clean. Hotel is very tastefully decorated with nice pieces of modern art and even a place to appreciate Chinese Tea.

Hotel was pricey. Services like spa / laundry were very expensive.

The hotel room facilities are a bit old and tired, the smart toilet smells odd. Breakfast was average vs the 5 star hotel standard in Shanghai and there’s no bar in the hotel which was a disappointment given that they have so many foreign guests. With the same money we enjoyed better service from other 5-Star hotel chains in Lujiazui…
