Bali Relaxing Resort and Spa

I liked that it is a smaller, compact hotel...not too much walking involved to go back and forth to my room. I specifically chose a ground floor 'terrace' room, which I liked very much. These rooms are in the old section of the hotel, and have been renovated...but could do with a bathroom renovation. House keeping, - shout out to Wyan, she did a great job of keeping the room spotlessly clean and sweet smelling. All the staff I encountered were super polite, friendly and helpful. Lovely big blue swimming pool and separate kids pool, great for a decent swim or muck about. The kids love the pool basket ball net. Sunbeds comfy with thick mattresses (which my back appreciated). Buffet breakfast, had egg station and a variety of wet dishes every day, plus usual juice, tea/coffee, fruit, cereal, toast, pastries. I liked the manicured lawn area adjacent to the beach. It was nice to lie on a sunbed and take in the view of the beach and sea, or cross the footpath to the private beach, which was kept clean and groomed.

I couldn't get the water to run hot and had to call reception on two occasions, they came promptly to fix it. Another time, the shower mixer tap came off in my hand whilst showering, I managed to turn off the shower without the tap! It got fixed straight away, but I could see when it came off that it's very old and they've used paste to fix it before. It needs replacing. My room fridge, although worked well, was very noisey at times, woke me up at night so I had turn it off at night and back on in the morning. Probably needs replacing also. My friend's balcony room had none of these issues. The water (sea) quality varies I think, unfortunately, the rubbish and plastic waste comes in every day with the tide, but the hotels do their best to clean it up. And to all the tourists who think it's not their problem, YES, it is! Bali wouldn't have this amount of waste if it wasn't for tourism, so do your bit and instead of ignoring it, pick some up every day, on your walks, and put it in the plentiful bins provided along the top of the beach, the locals will thank you.

Very nice stay, breakfast in the morning was delicious. Staff very friendly and always willing to help and assist. Close to beach and water sport. Favorite activity was the running&cycling next to Beachfront

Some rooms where not cleaned well. 3 members of group had to change rooms . Either because rooms where not clean or because of the noise at night also cocktail where heavily watered down.

The room was very basic, bed was uncomfortable, it wasn't the cleanest particularly the bathroom. The best part about the hotel was the food. We ate lunch at the restaurant and it was not edible, we had buffet breakfast with our room and if I had to pay for it I would not have come here for breakfast. There was never anybody at the towel station , this place was a let down and wouldn't stay here again. Pool and beach front was the best part so if you go just don't eat at the restaurant
