Beautiful traditional Maltese house with modern facilities including AC, kettle and mini fridge/freezer. Comfy bed with nice big wardrobes for storage. Clean and spacious on-suite bathroom. Great staff making sure we had everything we needed for our week stay. Would recommend.
Next to a main road so can be quite loud on a morning

The place was very atmospheric, serving a unique experience of living in a traditional medieval Maltese house with the comfort of modern facilities (private bathroom, AC, electricity). There was also a vending machine in the common area where you could buy (among other things) outlet adapters if you were like me and just assumed the outlets are the same everywhere in Europe. The staff was very helpful, kept the place maintained, and accommodated my requests the best they could (for example, I asked for my towels to be changed daily due to the humidity preventing them from drying after taking a shower). We arrived a bit early before check-in and although the room wasn't ready yet, I could leave the suitcase and go explore the neighborhood. The area was also pretty convenient to get to other places like Valletta, Mdina, or the airport, despite the nearest bus stop being out of service due to roadworks (it was only a slight inconvenience due to my mother's health). We also stayed during a holiday celebration week in which the neighborhood, unlike Valletta and other bigger cities, had been decorated and held lively events with music in the evening.
Some things about the house could be improved, for example the door of my shower leaked water to the entire bathroom floor, the lights were in my opinion too dark (I understand the stylistic choice of the candle-like orange lights but could be a tone brighter). I stayed in room no. 7 and it had very apparent mold in bathroom, along with stains in one of the bedroom's ceiling corner suggesting prior roof leak. There was a dehumidifier in the room which helped with humidity and I didn't have any issues during the stay but I wouldn't recommend staying for more than a few days if you're sensitive to mold and humidity. The bed mattresses were so soft that I basically felt as if I were sitting, not lying at night and if I stayed for more than 4 nights, I would've expected it to cause back pain. The house also has very narrow and steep staircases with no elevator or other mobility aid, but that was to be expected. I also felt suspicious about the registration process that needed to be completed prior-arrival and required all my personal information, including ID photos, and I received my key code number via WhatsApp, which was rather odd, but in the end everything was alright despite the scam-like impression, just make sure to check your emails and download WhatsApp if you want to book this property.

Overall it was nice, the room and bathroom were clean and nicely decorated.
The stairs up to the top floor were a little steep, not a problem for us but wouldn't be suitable for the less sprightly!

Clean area although no natural light
Hot breakfast food was just about warm. We booked room with garden view thinking it would be at the back but the paved area which passes as a garden is out the front and we were therefore on the main road. Our shower drain was poor and it flooded the bathroom, reported but no change. No milk to make tea/coffee in room and breakfast area is locked during the day. If you arrive late the property is not obvious so we had a problem finding it and the stairs inside are poorly lit
