Senglea Jungle Palazzo

Excellent location in the heart of Senglea, one of Malta’s historic Three Cities. There are several good dining options nearby, including La Vincitrice, which attracts a local crowd and offers decent food at very reasonable prices, as well as JuFu Asian and the Alice Springs Kiosk on the waterfront. The room was spacious, airy and full of natural light, with high ceilings and attractive décor that suited the character of the building. Facilities included both a bathtub and separate shower, reliable hot water, and powerful air conditioning, which was very welcome during the warmer weather. Nice touches included complimentary toiletries, mosquito repellent, and a bottle of water on arrival. Overall, a comfortable and characterful place to stay in a great location for exploring Senglea and the surrounding area.

We had a really lovely stay overall. The host and staff were extremely helpful and friendly – they truly went above and beyond to meet all our needs. We were able to check in early, and they were always very prompt in responding to any questions or requests. The room itself was absolutely gorgeous – we loved the beautiful retro design, painted tiles, and the spacious layout. It also had thoughtful complementary toiletries, from a toothbrush to slippers and other small details, which made the stay feel extra comfortable and well-prepared.

The biggest issue during our stay was mosquitoes inside the room. We weren’t bitten outside at all, but during the night we got bitten quite badly while sleeping. The bites were large and lasted for several days, affecting exposed areas like our faces, backs, and hands. Due to the very high ceilings, it was also difficult to spot or catch mosquitoes before going to bed. It would really help if mosquito repellents were provided, or if guests were advised in advance to bring their own.

Questa struttura è una opportunità mancata. Innanzitutto la sciatteria: nella zona "reception" durante i tre giorni di permanenza, hanno stazionatoo un'asse da stiro, un ferro da stiro, un ombrellone, la posta buttata su un divanetto e una lattina di birra schiacciata che dall'esterno è stata semplicemente messa all'interno, in una nicchia accanto al portone. Ho soggiornato nella stanza a tema "birds" ed è un mezzo disastro: presentata per il design, è tutto fuorché comoda. In una superficie di 30mq, due docce "gemelle" e una vasca sbeccata sono direttamente in camera. Il wc è grande come uno sgabuzzino delle scope, con una luce al neon e un lavabo che è giusto un lavamani. Nessun ripiano per mettere i propri oggetti, nemmeno all'esterno, nella zona "docce". Impossibile lavarsi la faccia senza allagare il pavimento della zona wc, non parliamo della possibilità di farsi la barba per un uomo (in 3 giorni potrebbe accadere). Macchina del caffè ad altezza 30cm da terra, tazze in dotazione vecchie e rovinate...insomma un vero peccato.
