Friendliness of staff and the garden was unmatched. The hotel was a bit old but we did not mind since we felt like we were stepping into the true history of Japan. For anyone who is looking to truly unwind for a few days we highly recommend!
It would suit this hotel a bit better if they have some fragrances scattered across the hotel since it would add another layer of complexity and make the stay even more enjoyable. The breakfasts weren't our thing, but we respect that they were authentically Japanese.

It was amazing to try the Japanese traditional food but sometimes our limited palette would have liked a more western option.

Authentic design, incredibly kind staff members. We could really feel like in a time travel. The onsen, the food service in the suite, the extremely kind receptionist, all essential elements are in place. It was the perfect location to go to Fuji.
