Nap Hostel Pécs

Perfect location in the heart of the city. We had a comfortable and spacious room, the kitchen and bathroom were well equipped and everything was clean. The bar and brunch place just under the hostel are great places to hang out.

1. It was in a good.location but hard to find. 2. Owner rang me to confirm booking.

1. I was firced to leave my room without warning as a group of Czech ramus students arrived during my interview. 2. As a result of the rapid relocation I did not get the position & I also lost my new pair expensive of ear phones. 3. For a few says the air-conditioning in the new re-located room was not switched on and when it did work it suddenly stopped working in the middle.of the night.. 4. Four sets of security to get into the room. Fob, 1st pin code, key and 2nd pin code.

The old building is spacious, if somewhat faded. The location is excellent, in the main pedestrianised centre of town.

There was only one other person in the hostel during my stay, so there was no sense of a community of travelers. When I arrived at the entrance I saw a permanent notice that said to check in at the bar around the corner on the opposite side of the building. This would be useful information to have in advance. I walked around only to find it clsed as it was Monday. I phoned the contact number on the booking and was told to go to the bar. When I pointed out that it was closed he remembered it was Monday! He sent someone who took me back to the main entrance, using he fob to enter, then across the courtyard, to a door with a code then up two flights of grand stairs to another door with another code. The kitchen facililities are adequate, though there is no hob. The bathrooms are also OK. Apart from a cleaner who popped in there were no staff present during my stay. The Czech lady and I had the whole place to ourselves. The photes make it seem more glamorous than it is.

The position was good and it is clean and tidy

The hostel is overpriced and the sofas next to the reception are full of stuff, not really available for guests to seat and chill together
