Riad Massiba

We stayed at Riad Massiba as a group of three and loved it. Ahmed and his wife were lovely, as were the cats, and we felt very safe and would stay again. We had easy access to all the monuments/experiences nearby, and it was easy to arrange pickup for all of the experiences we booked, which were a short walking distance from the Riad. The breakfast was lovely, the rooms were cleaned daily, the aircon did its job - we had no real complaints. I could not recommend it more. There was also a city tax to pay when we arrived, which we paid once we went out and exchanged for MAD. Ahmed was also very responsive and helpful through the Booking messaging system. The only note was that because of the old pipes, as expected in an older building, the smell of sewage was noticeable in the mornings, but as that is not really the fault of the Riad/Ahmed, I'm not noting it as a negative. It went away once the system was used again. Just something to note with all of the Riads you may find.

A beautiful traditional Riad on a great location in the Medina, it is very quiet, an excellent breakfast, very comfortable and the owners were very friendly and welcoming.

Nice staff and breakfast. Can be a good place but needs some maintenance.

Top recommendation by booking.com but the place didn't have lockers on the door. No safe box in the room the lock valuables. Need to ask for a padlock to lock the door. The water on the shower did had any pressure at all and was just a small stream of water, that was impossible to take a shower. The plugs in pour condition, not safe to connect phones or other tools.
