Location was perfect for our requirements ...staggering distance from the bars that we were frequenting. Also 2 minutes from our favourite square and 5 mins from Playa da Mayor square.
No view and could not open shutters so felt a little enclosed. No lift and we were on 4th floor.

The location is great, and the room was clean.
For its price in the very center of Madrid I believe it’s one of the best. Also the staff were very nice, I asked to be changed from the 3rd to the 2nd floor and the staff did what I asked for very nicely and tried to help as much as they could
The fact that there were no elevators, but the stairs were comfortable.
The noises from the street, but with earplugs it was enough.

The location of hostel is perfect, it’s in the center near the metro, but you cannot hear the sounds of the city at night. I think the price comfort ration is good. The stuff is very polite and attentive.
Sometimes it’s been loud at night as you could hear the neighbors coming back home, but nothing too crazy.

Location was brilliant. For a short notice booking it was passable. It was certainly clean and tidy which is the main thing in a run down hotel.
Check in was painful. To be fair, I had only booked an hour or two earlier, when the plane landed, having realised I had forgotten to book a hotel, but when I got there it wasn't obvious where reception was (it was on the first floor) and when I found it, I had to wait for a long time while the man had an angry phone conversation with somebody else before finally showing me to the room.
