The location was just stunning. The apartment was very modern but had such a cute retro feel. Loved just how clean, tidy it was and it had all the things you need when you are away.

Fantastic relaxing holiday on a beach front accomodation with great facilities.

We stayed for 6 nights. When we arrived the door was unlocked but had my name written with welcoming words on the glass in large fancy letters which was a nice touch. The glass sliding door opened up widely to the deck facing the beach. The beach was right in front of the deck and the views were lovely. The kids loved swimming in the ocean that had large waves on some days. The rock pools provided a good area for snorkelling for the kids when the waves were calmer. The prpoerty was very clean and modern and the kitchen was well equipped, including a good BBQ set up that we used one evening. It was really nice waking up to the sound of the beach every morning and being able to slide open the doors wide open as you felt like you were letting the ocean breeze right into the living room. The manager/owners were also very friendly and helpful.

The driveway down to the property from the road was quite bumpy and needed resurfacing. There were some deep groves that the car had to avoid in getting down the shared driveway to the beachfront properties.

Family vibe, pet friendly and great stay

Our family had a great stay here. The beds were super comfy, pet friendly, all of the things we need at the tips of fingers. The weather was great and the sea was most beautiful at day and night. The air-conditioning was a very big plus as the nights were very warm.

They had other options that were on offer that we would have explored if it was on the bookings.com website. We only came across these other options on arrival as we looked in there book that they had in the rooms. Overall there was nothing we didn't like. Our stay was very homely and great!

A very relaxing 2 days listening to the waves lapping the shoreline.

Perfect beachfront accommodation

The location was perfect, right on the waterfront, a 30 second walk to the beach. Parking right out front. Nice and central to local amenities. The view was stunning.

There was nothing to fault this property. Wr had an issue with our bbq but it's was quickly sorted by Brian our host and we were cooking in no time

Beautiful property. Room was lovely and spacious. Streaming services were provided with the TV which is appreciated. The mini kitchen, including the microwave, was perfect since you’re more likely to get your own takeaway in this town rather than go out to eat. Perfect for a quiet getaway. Beautiful views over the water. Parking is available. Wish I had booked for longer.

Not necessarily a bad thing but the hosts literally write your name on the glass wall on the outside of your room to identify it. Interesting practice. So if you’re, for some reason, uncomfortable with everyone knowing your name while there, maybe tell the hosts beforehand.

Breakfast was fantastic. The motel was pretty, had red touches here and there. Right on the beach, great.

The heat pump wouldn't work, little did we know, you turned it on outside first. The tv didn't work, no light came on even.

The property consists of about 10 apartments above the rating. Some were two-story. We lived in a detached house with a large wooden veranda. There was a table and chairs on the veranda. The apartment consisted of a living room, a well-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. There was also a washing machine and a dryer. The view from the veranda and the bedroom on the rating was amazing. From the veranda to the beach we had exactly 26 steps, and then 36 steps to the sea. Could it be better? Our house was separated from the beach by only a driveway and a few meters of grass. The sunrise seen from the veranda with a cup of coffee in your hand... priceless.

Retro bach with all the bells and whistles

Awesome retro kiwi bach, with an amazing location. Step outside onto the beach, just a few steps from the spacious deck. Very comfy with fun mid-century style, everything you need for a relaxed enjoyable stay. Beautiful beach and lovely to stroll along it to the local store. What a find! Great coffee, homemade pies and more.
