We were welcomed even before arriving at the riad by the most attentive host we found in Marrakech. Lahcen definitely knows how to engage his guests; he is a problem solver and someone I would trust to show me around the city. The staff was also very friendly! The riad is located in a quiet part of the medina—perhaps not the most picturesque—but it is only a ten-minute walk from the most attractive spots, such as the Youssef Medersa, the Marrakech Museum, the Perfume Museum, and the most vibrant souks and small squares. The riad also has an inviting rooftop and a quiet game room, where I spent quite some time, as I was traveling with my mom and we both appreciated having some time to ourselves. I loved the fact there were so many plants at the terrace and rooftop.
I found the room a bit dark due to the small windows and the dark ceiling, but I think this is a common characteristic of some traditional riads.

The staff was amazing and the home was beautiful. But three things need improvement. One the beds. They were hard like tables and it was painful to sleep in them. Second the bathroom had a sewer smell which I’m
Sure has to do with the fact the house is old. And the third was that the door to our room was right in front of the breakfast area and we could hear everything. We also heard the alarm clock of the people in the room right across from us. I guess it’s all part of the riad experience but the mattress can DEFINITELY be improved.

Exceptional riad. Said, the manager on the property, speaks English and made me feel at home from the first day. He, Fatima, and Khdija, took outstanding care of me responding to every question I had. Breakfast was bountiful and tasty. My room was clean, beautiful and comfortable. I saw a rainbow from the terrace last night. Before I arrived I texted with Lahcen, the boss, and he prepared for my pick up at the airport and first night’s meal. The walk around the north part of the Medina, where the riad is located, was very comfortable and allowed me to get a sense of everyday life. The walk to the Souq’s is about 15-20 minutes with I enjoyed.
Everything was top notch. Nothing to not like.
