Love my stay here. The pool is beautiful and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection is fantastic too!

We have visited the Peninsula Bangkok multiple times as it never fails in quality. The staff have changed over time, but the service remains the same. The rooms are spacious (ask for a view) and although the furnishings may be a bit older now, they are spotlessly clean with great amenities. The buffet breakfast is wonderful - you can sit outside by the river and the buffet caters for all tastes. The staff are lovely and attentive - we even had a little birthday cake (and a sing-song from the staff!) at breakfast one morning when it was the birthday of one of our group.
Location-wise, it is around 45-60 minutes drive from the airport. There is a little shuttle boat which takes you across the river, where there are numerous restaurants, massage places etc and shopping.
The pool is not large, but it is lovely and there is a strict "no saving" of beds which is wonderful - plus a "quiet" area for adults. I am going to put in a request that bans photography at the pool though, as that was the only major downside, with everyone having their phones out snapping photos while you are swimming/relaxing

We had a wonderful stay at The Peninsula Bangkok. The seafood buffet was excellent, and the views were breathtaking. Everything was beautifully done, from the warm hospitality to the outstanding breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would happily return.

Thai staff did not speak English or at pretended not to understand. Will not answer your calls directly, but instead get a Filipino to get back to you.
Gave us the worst room on the level during check in. The one right in the corner away from the view. Promised to change rooms for us the next day, after a team-building event group left, but never did.
Swimming pool opens at 6am, but daily cleaning was not done by 8.30am, had to wait till after 9.30am! Even then, the pool if filthy with lots of green-black sediment sloshing at the bottom!
Location is close Iconsiam and nothing else. All other places of interests are at least a 30min car ride.
Breakfast was good. Emphasised quality over quantity.
