We had a wonderful stay at Dempsey’s Self-Catering Guest House. The place was very clean and well-maintained, which made us feel comfortable right away. The lady who runs it was extremely kind and helpful, always ready to answer our questions and give useful tips. The location felt safe, and there were plenty of fun things to do in the area. From local attractions to nice places to eat, we never ran out of activities. Everything was easy to reach, which made our weekend even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a fantastic weekend and would definitely recommend Dempsey’s Self-Catering Guest House to anyone looking for a cosy and friendly place to stay.

The venue does not provide meals. Numerous restaurants were within 10mins drive and shopping malls can be reached within minutes. The venue was in a quiet position and in a good suburb. The single beds had comfortable mattresses although we missed having a top sheet under the duvet. We felt at peace with the security gates and lighting. No animals were present, which was super as I have allergies with animal dander.
The walls are thin and sleep was interrupted by general noise created by occupants residing on the other side of walls. Our host kindly accepted some suggestions to improve sound-proofing. Our room looked tired with peeling paint and some floorboards need attention by a carpenter. The costs for this shouldn't cost much and would be well worth the expense, however, obtaining 3 quotes from reputable repairmen would be wise.
This was the first time we've had to pay the full cost upfront which almost caused us to cancel.
