Long walk up the stairs with heavy bags

The owner was super kind and helpful and the room was spacious with a great view of the city. It is in walking distance of most of the main attractions and has a laundromat just outside. They also offer a room cleaning service on request. It is located down a small alleyway that is buzzing with local life and other guest houses. There are many restaurants and convenience stores in the surrounding area.

There is no breakfast but this is fine as there are so many great options in HCMC. It is also a very tall building with no lift so this can be challenging in the HCMC heat if you struggle with stairs.

Location was great and host was helpful and friendly

Unfortunately didn’t get much sleep due to other guests being loud throughout the night. Was signs to say respect other guests on quiet hours but this wasn’t followed unfortunately.

This homestay is in a narrow lane close (100 meters) to the walking street, but the place was surprisingly quiet. The loud noise of the walking street did not disturb our sleep. The place was clean. You need to keep your shoes on the ground floor rack and take the slippers they provide for use inside the homestay.

There is no elevator. It was difficult to carry our luggage to the third floor using a narrow staircase. One of the windows could not be closed properly. There was a rope attached to the window for taking care of this problem. But what was more problematic was the bathroom door. It could not be closed properly, and the lock was not functioning at all. When the owner was contacted regarding this, she said all rooms in that homestay are like this. If this is the case, this should be clearly mentioned on Booking.com.
