The bed was a bit small for 2 people but apart from that it was a clean and comfortable room

William the owner and his staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
The hotel is spacious, clean and the views overlooking the sea are great.
Being located just outside the town centre was an advantage as less busy but easily walkable.
Perhaps the evening meal could be one course rather than only a three course option.

Location and the staff were great.
Very tired decor. Needed bringing up to date big style.

An older property showing its age but great value for money. Especially the breakfast and dinner options. Easy walk to town and along the water Such a beautiful town to visit
Lots of stairs

Location was fantastic on the waterfront. Very close to restaurants and bars. Beautiful scenery. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfaat was lovely. Dini g room decpr was very upto date and modern. Very bright and spacious.
Rooms are very unkept. They are clean but very much basic. Rooms need a bit of updating. Very dull and dreary. Could decorate the rooms like the dining room.

Comfort generally, delicious meals served by friendly staff and of course the panoramic views of the Clyde! Nice garden too.
My room looked rather tired, however wallpaper and carpet in good condition. Very comfortable bed. Decor could do with an update. Public rooms very nice and contemporary.

Breakfast, the exit
Everything creaked in every room. So as soon as someone moved you would wake up. Room smelt damp and no WiFi or phone signal available. Room was cheapest around but still thought I was too much for the room.

I didn’t order breakfast owing to an early start but was offered a packed lunch instead. It was sensibly filled and suited me well.
Only the top windows opened and as it was a very hot day the bedroom became very hot. Admittedly it was a very hot day.

Very convenient location for the Argyll Rally, just a 10 minute walk to the Dunoon stage. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel car park was good and very close.
Our room was a lengthy walk from reception along narrow, undulating corridors with squeaky flooring and many doors and we were conscious of waking other guests when we returned late at night. The breakfast and coffee was not great.

The Beds and Pillows are really Comfy.
The view out of the window is beautiful.
The Staff are all very friendly.
And finally there is a great range of different kinds of entertainment every evening.

The location was great for the view, seemed back to front though, was clean enough, dining room was lovely, staff were really helpful
We were put in a room with no view and a frosted window so couldn’t see anything at all..bit disappointed to be honest as the view from the dining room was spectacular, rooms were really small and old fashioned and dated, could do with a refit

Clean bedding and towels, and a beautiful location if you had a room with a view at the front of the hotel. The breakfast menu had a good selection. Large garden at front very tidy.
The room was extremely dated and depressing with the floor dipping in places. Noise from the rooms above was horrendous so don't stay here if you want a good nights sleep! Everywhere creaks ! Also no shower gel etc in the very small bathroom which would have expected given the price. Shower fitting was also hanging off the wall.

The staff were excellent, allowed to check in a little early on arrival, room was very clean inclding bedding and towels, Bar Staff were great and played well with the Bingo, yes Bingo, just a little before the nights entertainment the Barman called the Bingo with a little cheek and was funny with it, the entertainment was by a duo called 'Accoustic Sounds' who were excellent and played to the crowd brilliantly with old and new music, breakfast menu catered for all and the waiting staff were very attentive, had a fantastic night there and would recommend to all.
There is not much to fault this Hotel, maybe the size of the room but as a Hotel standing for many years this could be expected but with no detrimental effect on our stay.

Location was great, Staff were lovely and always available to help out with anything.
Jesus and Maron were really helpful at breakfast and loved our little girl who's a toddler. Thanks guys. 😊 oh and the breakfast was lovely. Really enjoyed it.
There was night entertainment on and that was nice but mostly for people who are 60+ but it's still nice for a quiet night away. We will be back.
The rooms could do with a decorate as it's outdated but that's about it as they were very clean, comfortable and we had a great sleep.

Arrived early and staff were happy to look after our case as we went exploring Dunoon. Staff were warm and friendly throughout our trip. There was a couple of bus tours there and there was a half price bar with entertainment. Rooms are a little dated but then it is an older hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and had lots of options.
At breakfast we were seated at the window. Unfortunately there were four elderly people either side from bus tour who were a bit hard of hearing so we're quite loud. Maybe seating solo travelers on the edge of dining room may be a good idea.

Location, sea view, free parking, friendly staff at reception desk. Very comfy bed.
Hotel caters for coach-tours, if you want a quiet, restful night, this isn't the place for you. Wafer-thin walls, creaky floorboards overall the whole hotel, we heard every step and every drop of pee of the people staying above us, like they were in our own room. We got a room right above the function room (110) and our TV was drowned by loudspeaker bingo-games and live music. We ended up going down to our car and park by the sea from 8 till 10.30pm just to get away from the noise. Back in the hotel we were literally considering checking out at 12.30 at night and sleeping in our car due to the lack of sound proofing - guy next door snored so loud we couldn't get to sleep! Bathroom being tiny isn't even worth mentioning next to the disruption of all the noise throughout the evening and night. We are not people who whinge over dated furniture, etc, we like old hotels but we will certainly not going to come back here.

location, lovely veiws.
its very dated! noisy floor boards so we were woken in the night several times with people above moving about. we were the youngest group there so felt a little out of place, its a shame as with a revamp it could attract younger families to. breakfast was average to.

Friendly staff ,nice clean room, bed comfortable, breakfast was good, price very good well worth the money.
Car park was hit and miss,if you found a place and went out no where to park when you came back had to park on the road but would stay again 😃
