Riad Olema et Spa

• Perfect location: The hotel is located right in the heart of everything. Interestingly, despite being on a busy and vibrant street, it was relatively quiet and peaceful inside. • Beautiful design: The riad itself is very nice with plenty of beautiful, picturesque corners. We also absolutely loved the rooftop terrace. • Friendly staff: The team made an effort to be welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. • Room location: We had a room right next to the pool, which was lovely and very convenient.

• Subpar breakfast: We stayed for 4 nights, and the breakfast was very repetitive and disappointing. For 3 of those days, we were served dry pastries reheated in a microwave. This was surprising since there is a local market right outside selling cheap, fresh bread, olives, and vegetables. Instead, the breakfast lacked any greens or olives and only included dry bread, a tiny bit of butter, and jam. • Hygiene issue: On our last morning, we were served pastries that had clearly already been bitten into by previous guests. The staff tried to excuse it by saying it tore during slicing, but it was unmistakably bitten. • Pungent smoke: Every single night, I was woken up by a sharp, pungent smoke spreading through the entire hotel. I have no idea what it was, but it was quite unpleasant. • Strong chlorine smell: Since our room was by the pool, we noticed a staff member putting chlorine tablets into the system every morning. While I understand this is necessary for maintenance, the chemical smell was so intense that my eyes would sting, making it impossible to sit by the pool at times. The location and the traditional look of the riad are absolutely amazing. If they manage to improve the quality of the breakfast, this place will easily be a top-tier choice!

Clean

Very comfortable and characterful Riad. Quirky layout and cool during hot days. Room was excellent and clean. Breakfast was tasty and fresh daily and the staff attention and service was superb. Great facilities and location - just what was needed for a short city break.

Pool was a little cold for full use but to be fair when it is 35 degrees outside that is fine.
