Place to stay in Vleteren!

Every detail was taken care of. Sandy could not have been a better host. I requested a 3pm check in as wanted to visit a local brewery before 6pm closing, and she made a dinner reservation at the pub next door. Breakfast was also great. Coffee excellent, fresh omelette and orange juice.

Lovely place, charming and helpful hostess

Manager super helpful. Breakfast excellent. Room comfy. I’d rather have had a shower and the toilet wasn’t separated from the rest of the en-suite room but there was a curtain for privacy. Lovely roses. All in all a great experience and many thanks to our lovely hostess who laid on a minibus to take our party to the wedding. If I was ever back in that part of Belgium then I’d choose this hotel. A first class experience

Picture perfect hotel

Sandie is so wonderful as a host. She helped give us tips on the area and set us up with bike rentals. The hotel is lovely, very comfortable and quiet and we love every stay!

Fantastic weekend stay, highly recommended!

The hotel is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The owner is a lovely, friendly lady who went out of her way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The shuttle service to/from recommended local restaurants is such a great idea and was very much appreciated by us. The cooked breakfast was exceptional and we even had freshly squeezed orange juice. We only stayed 1 night but I would have happily stayed for longer and taken advantage of the lounge with board games, honesty bar and quality tea and coffee machines! The terrace outside will be great in warmer weather, it features a little pond and a large barbeque area, surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers.

2 minor points: We would have preferred an earlier check in time as we had travelled from UK and had left home at 5am so we had a long wait for check-in, although we managed to fill the time by having lunch, drinks, visit to Mont des Cats, etc. I know the rooms need to be deep cleaned due to Covid, so we understand the current late check-in time. The lack of bathroom door was quite unexpected as one could see straight in to the toilet when lying in bed. Unusual, and we managed, but it could be awkward for some people.

Crisp, fresh decor, meets rural peace.

We loved the Huge, Palladian window views, and the decor! Only 3 km to The Trappist Monastery in Westvleren, and only 9km to the St. Barnardus Brewery.

We loved everything and will definitely stay again

The hostess was very nice and helpful. She called around for us & made dinner reservations. Our room was big and comfortable- very clean with a nice bathroom. It was great to have breakfast in the morning too which was made fresh

Superb

Nice breakfast, with eggs, bacon, fresh juice and fruits, choice of bread. Large bathroom. Very quiet room, well equipped (toothbrush, water), and most important: a good bed. Nice terrace outside. Self service drinks in the evening.

Outstanding

The room was exceptional. Large and clean. The shower was a good-sized walk-in with good temperature and pressure. There was secure parking behind the hotel. It was nice to have an honesty bar although clearing away of the unfinished drinks was over-zealous. The breakfast was great, a buffet of breads, cheeses (some sort of meat for carnivores), yogurt and so on, and we were offered a fresh cooked omelette or eggs. The coffee was delicious. There was also tea and coffee from a machine on tap for free all the time. The location was convenient but quiet and the garden was beautiful. The host was super friendly and helpful and multi-lingual. They provided a shuttle to West Vleteren brewery and other locations at a small cost.

It would have been nice to have a more comfy chair in the bedroom but it's a small thing.

A small town, a quiet Place and an unique unforgettable experience. Would absolutely recommend!

Everything in the interior and exterior of the hotel is neat and tidy. In my humble opinion a great taste penetrates every single aspect of it's design, added with obviously a perfect cleanness. No need to mention how comfortable and home rooms feel, which are adjusted by this kind of thoughtful mind. Attitude towards visitors, at this point honestly it shouldn't be a surprise, is no exception to the prevailing pattern. I couldn't be more thankful to the kind and caring host. Once again, Thank you, Sandie, for this part of my trip which felt just like I was home! Wished I had stayed for longer.

A nossa estadia foi excepcional! As acomodações são muito confortáveis, espaçosas e silenciosas. A anfitriã nos tratou muito bem, nos dando dicas ótimas de onde ir a noite e sobre os próximos destinos de nossa viagem. O café da manhã é como de casa de mãe, sempre com muito cuidado com os hóspedes.

We waren hier een aantal jaar geleden ook al en nu was het terug allemaal in orde. Mooie rustige kamer, ontbijt was goed, en achteraan een veilige parking voor onze fietsen.

Fantastisch verblijf waarbij je het gevoel hebt van thuiskomen!

Prachtig hotel dat zeer smaakvol en gezellig is ingericht. De kamers zijn afgewerkt tot in het kleinste detail met kwalitatieve materialen. De gastvrouw is heel hartelijk en helpt je met een glimlach bij het zoeken naar activiteiten. Bovendien is ze ook super begripvol voor mensen met bijzondere medische noden. Hier komen we zeker en vast nog terug!
