Mavis, the owner, accommodated my partner and I after we received news at 9pm from Waikato hospital that he was being discharged the next day. With hardly any motel rooms available due to the Womens Soccer World Cup 2023, I initially tried to pay using my debit card but was messaged that it was invalid? I did not own a credit card so phoned Mavis who left a voice mail to let me know it was ok and my booking was secure and we could sort payment out when I arrived. Fortunately my partner’s sister learnt of my dilemna and used her credit card to cover our stay. We had a lovely, relaxing stay. Comfortable beds, a kitchen to prepare a meal, plenty hot water for showers, oil and panel heaters on full lovely woollen blankets to snuggle in on a very cold winter’s night. Parking was right outside our apartment. It was a pleasure to meet Mavis, who came and asked if we were ok. Thank you so much Mavis and to Yash for showing me to our room and for taking us in at such late notice. We had all we needed and felt safe and warm.

Spotless kitchen and bathroom (which looked to have been recently renovated). Good sized room. Quiet.

Lighting very dull. Bare walls made for a very bleak appearance. Be aware that a credit card is required to secure booking - debit card will not do.

It was an excellent place to stay and I would go back.

The location is close to the centre of the city. It is surprisingly and pleasantly quiet and offers a lot of very clean space. Staff are most friendly and helpfull.

A comfortable chair would have been a bonus.
