Beautiful

My stay was very good overall. The place is comfortable, well located, and the service was excellent.

The only unpleasant issue was that there were some leaks in the ceiling in certain parts of the building. Other than that, everything was great and I would recommend the accommodation.

If you are in Verne, stay here

This is an old house, over 100 years old and beautifully restored to a high standard. Given the historic nature of the buildings, some features you may expect in a modern hotel are not available, such as a lift or air conditioning. If you are fed up with modern hotels that are all the same, stay here, its wonderful. You will remember the place. A good breakfast and a good location and helpful staff. I would stay here again.

Charming small hotel, very well maintained with green areas, clean and comfortable room, delicious breakfast, nice and friendly hosts; free parking in front of property, close to town center. Excellent value for money

Lovely place but not as good as I expected for the price.

This is a fabulous old building in a great location. The breakfast was excellent and our host was lovely. Parking is really convenient, if a little confusing as it is out on the street and it is not obvious if it is free to use. The bar area is superbly appointed and very well stocked.

Check in is quite late, at 4pm. We arrived at about 2:30 and couldn’t get through to speak to anyone to ask advice (although they did reply to a text message). We stayed in a suite which was comfortable and spacious but let down by the bathroom (including toilet) being open plan , almost as part of the lounge area. The bar shut at 8pm. We don’t stay up late, but I would have expected 21:30 to 22:00.

Spoil yourself…

Grand entrance from the street… this castle is impressive. It was cold out but the place was warm and welcoming. Both wings have their own staircase. Every room has a high ceiling which makes it feel so spacious. The owners have put a lot of thought into the decor, so much to appreciate. Breakfast is top notch. There’s a great bike room at the back of the gorgeous garden. You are in the middle of the town but it feels like you are in the countryside.

Beautiful, well appointed rooms in period style. Very clean throughout. High end toiletries provided. Excellent breakfast. Welcoming hostess. Coffee and tea machine in room. Close walk to Center Could relax in the drawing room or book in to the spa if you liked.

Hair dryer was completely useless Our shower drained very slowly so you had to keep water turned down a bit lower than we would have liked. Otherwise an excellent stay

It was easy to find and to park outside. The hosts were friendly and attentive. The room was interesting and comfortable and the wifi connection good. It is close to the centre of town where several restaurants and cafes are located. Quiet.

It would have been nice to walk in the garden - maybe it was possible but it was not obvious how.

Parking gratuit et le petit déjeuner est exceptionel!

't Kasteel is a perfect place to stay right on the road between the historical places and sites around Ypres and the splendid seaside next to De Panne. It is a haven of tranquility...and splendour. Besides, I have never had a better breakfast during any stay on my numerous trips around the world. Having an apéritif or a typical English Tea Time in the beautiful lounge of this unique old cottage, is something to be looking forward to, whenever I should be near Veurne again: Il faut que je revienne!

Very nice old town home/castle. The owners take pride in how they renovated and created this place. Rooms are spacious and full of character. Breakfast is absolutely great and Veurne is a nice town to visit with a couple of really nice restaurants. Highly recommended.

Charming family-run B&B close to the seaside

The best thing about this beautiful family-run B&B is not only the building itself but the attention to detail. It is simple yet very comfortable, with the basic amenities needed for a quiet and comfortable stay close to the seaside.

I honestly wasn't expecting to like the place this much. The garden terrace and bar worried me at first, but service ends at a quite reasonable hour (and the cocktails are delicious). It would be very nice to have the bathroom in the room itself, but quite frankly, it isn't a dealbreaker: the service and breakfast more than make up for that.

The accommodation is run by two hard working ladies. I'm managing a hotel myself and it's unbelievable how hard they work to make this a really nice place to stay at. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Veurne is a great location. Not far too from De Panne and it has also a nice town centre. The breakfast is great! We highly recommend this place.

Fantastisch verblijf in een uitstekend en gastvrije B&B

De locatie is fabelachtig en fantastisch (her)ingericht met aandacht voor het oorspronkelijke. Onze kamer was prachtig met een geweldig uitzicht op de tuin en torens van de stad. Vooral de rust die er is, is zalig om te herbronnen.

Aangenaam & authentiek

Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst. Het kasteel was mooi gerestaureerd, met authentieke elementen en volledig in kerstsfeer. Het ontbijt was zeer goed, een minibuffet aan tafel, aangevuld met eieren, vers fruit ... Mooie, grote kamer met comfortabel bed en propere badkamer.

Eigen aan een kasteel, de charmant krakende parketvloer op de kamer (niet zo handig als je 's nachts naar het toilet moet ;-)
