Great apartment, good location

The apartment is located in the center of Málaga, within walking distance of all the main sights and attractions. There is no on-site parking, but a parking garage can be found just two streets away, which is very convenient. The apartment is situated in a very charming building, and our unit was on the top floor with a lovely view of the street. Despite the central location, we did not find it noisy at all. The room was spacious, bright, and clean, and the bathroom was tastefully designed. However, late in the evening there was no hot water, which was a bit unpleasant. Aside from this issue, we had a very good stay. The staff at reception were kind and helpful, and we were able to leave our luggage there even after check-out. Overall, it’s a good choice for a few days’ stay in Málaga.

Experience spoiled by the first 20 minutes

When I arrived I couldn't get into the building and no-one answered the buzzer. I stood outside for about 5 mins when by chance another guest happened to enter the building and let me in behind them (they had already checked-in so had an access card). I waited at reception for a further 10 minutes and ended up having to call the telephone number listed online for the property (which was an international call from my UK mobile) in order to tell someone I was at reception waiting to check-in. After this call someone came to assist me after approximately 4-5 additional minutes. For context, I was checking in around 4pm on Saturday so not an unusual or inconvenient time. The receptionist did apologise saying she was in the bathroom (which is perfectly reasonable) but it didn't give a great first impression. Once in the room I can confirm it was clean and comfortable although there was no natural light. Also, it was a particularly cold night so an extra blanket option would have been good as it took the heater so long to heat the room due to the high-ceiling. Overall I think I was just unlucky.

All in all & a cheap last minute booking.

The room was a good size, nice double shower & a good location.

We stayed in December, so the nights were cold, unfortunately the air con unit that also had heat, was not working at all. We reported it & it wasn’t repaired. Could do with a deep clean, bedside tables were grubby & dusty & the shower tiles & tray needed attention.

Good central location

The location was very good, close to city centre and restaurants and attractions..receptionist was very nice and welcoming.

The room only had a tiny window near the top of the ceiling which made the room dark and in addition it looked into an internal corridor..furthermore the drains in the bathroom smelled.

Great location. Friendly & welcoming reception. Just one thing was missing - a kettle in the room. Although there was hot water & coffee/tea facilities at reception it would have been nice to have a kettle & a couple of cups in the room.

Warm welcome in the center of Malaga

Seriously great staff, they are so kind and helpful. We were also in Malaga during the blackout and they helped us out so much. Highly appreciate them, the contact was genuine. The room is proper, spacious and calm. A very nice place to stay in Malaga.

Lovely check in lady, Dina. Great location. Clean.

We lost our room key and were locked out of the building. Despite calling the number we were given for emergencies 3 times in half an hour standing outside no one answered. No one answered texts either. We had to get a taxi costing €100 back to our home in Estepona so we had somewhere to sleep as it was clear no one was going to help us get in. So we never slept there. In fact we didn’t hear back from anyone until 11 am the next morning when we were on the bus to pack our things. Really if there is an emergency number someone should answer it. We received no apology or refund offer and I showed the guy our phone call record: he just said he didn’t receive them which is impossible as I left messages each time asking for help.

Perfect location in the city.

Lovely large attic room. A cute little turfed terrace with a couple of chairs and a table. Great air con. Nice towels. Very clean. Has a lift. VERY central; Location location location! Dina on reception is an absolute sweetheart and willing to assist where possible. Also - opposite our favourite Malaga eatery; El Tapeo de Cervantes.

The double bed was 2 singles that need a topper to keep them together. They are also very soft. Perhaps time for a replacement. That said, we slept well.

Awesome location, great room, slightly decreased build quality

Amazing location for the price. The furniture and everything seemed brand new. Nice TV, and rain shower :)

The room wasn't in perfect shape. Small hole in the bathroom floor. Worst toilet paper dispenser I've ever used. It almost seemed rushed, and not properly done, when the room was built. But considering the price, this is acceptable

Excellent.

The room was clean and modern. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful in spite of my poor Spanish. The bed had sheets and blankets instead of duvet, and excellent pillows. Fabulous central location but quiet street. There is an elevator in this building. Fabulous city with lots to see and do give yourself an extra day or two here, especially if you're going at a time of the year when you can go to the beach. NOTE: There is good public transit in Malaga but Google is not the best way to find it. There is a bus to the Castillo at the top of Mount Gibralfaro on the east side of city, but unfortunately I had walked all the way up before I discovered there was public transit almost to the top. I was really glad I did not have to walk back down though!

I had an inner room with no view - just a window six feet up into the central "courtyard". Not a problem for me as basically only use my room to sleep and read.

Exceptional

This was my second time staying at this accommodation and everything was fine, everyone is super kind. Actually they saved my holiday. This time I could not reserve a room here for the first try because they were fully booked during the Feria. So I went for an other apartment, but that was so bad I had to change. And the staff of Malaga City Suites helped me when I texted them. They had free rooms for my last 2 nights, so I just moved here. And I was satisfied with them just as like in the last year.

Top attic room . About 30 stairs to get to it. Didn't feel nice up there. Very hot, walls that must have had water running down them . Room split into two levels with single bed area having no aircon. Steps where narrow with no hand rails. Major works on the street below but no mention of this until you turn up . Very perilous journey over boards to get to the front door. Guy on reception a bit unhelpful. They did move our room eventually. The other room was better but only one aircon unit and a large room.
