Outrigger Bay

Great location, short walk to town centre, rear access to beach, easy access to road leading out of town

Having access to the beach is good, but…..having to walk across a train line without any sort of crossing could be a bit of an issue for young children or those with accessibility issues. I had no idea there was a trail line before opening the gate, then a train went past, quite a surprise. Maintenance works being carried out, I understand that every property needs maintenance from time to time, but being woken up by loud banging well before 8am wasn’t ideal. The room itself while having good facilities was probably getting a bit tired and in need of a freshen up, nothing major but looking at dirt around the shower and bathroom grout etc just felt a bit dirty. Only other minor issue was the email sent prior to departure - a list of 10 dot points of requirements prior to leaving including things like taking the rubbish out ourselves, putting the dishwasher on etc, it just felt like I was being treated like an 18y/o schoolie who was going to trash the apartment and leave a mess. The email felt a bit over the top and unreasonable when paying good money for the accommodation

Location and facilities

Good sized condo-style rooms. Short walk to the beach (crossing train tracks). Nice pool and BBQ area. Well-stocked kitchens. Free parking.

Check-in time with staff present is a small window (3-5) and check out is earlier than most.

Sensational location. Spacious and well equipped apartment. Friendly staff. Ease of check-in.

Beds were hard as a rock in both rooms. Like sleeping on cement. This was basically our only grievance with the place and why we probably wouldn’t return.
