    The staff are absolutely exceptional, and the spa facilities, restaurant Taiko, and breakfast room are equally outstanding. We lived our stay! Our only hesitation is that for those with mobility problems our room had stairs to a mezzanine bed (a tad tricky during the night) and small lounge downstairs. Everything was otherwise superb!

    Built in a building with over 200years, located in the museum zone, very convenient for a fan of museums. While the services are very ordinary compared with other hotels at same level or cost. The hospitality looks okay, but not feel comfortable, the staffs are very rude at the restaurant and breakfast is terrible.

    Overall Experience: Mixed I had higher expectations for a hotel of this caliber, and unfortunately some service gaps prevented this from being a standout stay. What Worked Well Spa: Flawless experience a genuine highlight. Rooms: Excellent sheets and shower. Slept very well. Staff: The doorman was attentive and genuinely helpful. Breakfast items: Fresh fruit and matcha were standout offerings. Service Issues Check-in communication: No arrival confirmation email (standard at comparable hotels). Had to call to confirm timing. No hotel tour offered upon arrival. Amenities fulfillment: Requested toiletries (toothbrush, hairbrush, face wash, soap scrub) took 20 minutes, arrived incomplete (only toothbrush and hairbrush), and the soap scrub never arrived despite confirmation. Dining coordination: Receptionist didn’t proactively offer dinner reservations or confirm availability when I checked in. No follow-up call, though this would be helpful given the restaurant was full. Entertainment: Unable to connect Netflix to the TV (possible at other hotels). Limited alternative viewing options. Concierge: Interactions felt perfunctory the team member seemed unenthusiastic, which discouraged asking for recommendations. Breakfast Experience Buffet breakfast was adequate (5-6/10). The shakshuka felt disjointed tomato base with eggs on top rather than a cohesive dish. Room service breakfast for my girlfriend cost €83 extra, which seemed steep compared to other hotels that include in-room breakfast at no additional charge. Bottom Line The spa and bedding were excellent, but inconsistent service and nickel-and-diming on extras left me disappointed. I won’t be returning to this chain.
