The room, bar and dining area (we did not use the restaurant due to having a dog) were all clean, in good condition and warm. The food was excellent, we had dinner (sirloin steak, so tender we didn't need our steak knives), breakfast and Sunday lunch (sharing platter for 2, we couldn't fault it), all served by friendly polite staff. No room for dessert, but what we saw looked lovely.
Our only criticism was that we were on the top floor with several flights of stairs and multiple doors to navigate. I must stress however we had not requested a lower room.
