Room

No food. Wouldn't let us book in the restaurant. No restaurants near by. Charged us 14 euro each bike. ( 5) for parking even though we only took 2 places. Wasn't made welcome. Not as advertised on booking . Stay clear

Fantastic hotel and restaurant in a quiet little town close to the Nürburgring

The restaurant was very nice and quaint, a mix of travelers, families, and old people. The owner and his son were very accommodating and spoke English very well. The rooms looked recently refurbished and everything was clean and modern. The town was very quiet.

Exceptional

I really liked the hotel, it is ordinary, but clean, the hostess is very nice, the room is spacious, there is a fridge, a kettle. There is a restaurant on the ground floor, we really liked it, especially the staff. We are very pleasantly surprised, we have not seen such a service for a long time, such lovely waiters, bravo to everyone! There is a lot of food, it is tasty, at a reasonable price, the institution is clearly popular. The breakfast was also varied, we didn't leave hungry.

Basically, we liked everything. The only thing is that the bed for two people was made of two mattresses, and at night you fall between them.

Best surprise during our trip in the region!

The young kind staff (probably trainees) doing their utmost best & the landlady's kindness. The meals, breakfast & dinner, of superb quality, high value for money, in a large traditionally furnished restaurant. The large open air vine covered terras just next to the hotel (across the road). Coffee & tea in our very spacious quiet room. Our motorbikes parked in a closed garage just next door. The hotel is somewhat remote, but this was our choice known in advance. (Nurburgring is 10'~15' away). This 2 stars is easily worth 3+ or 4 stars.

Peaceful stay

Beautiful village, the staff were very helpful, knew their food and wine, food tasted excellent, lovely views from the annexe we stayed in. The room was spacious, had a balcony and sitting area in the room. Would recommend if visiting Nurburgring, very peaceful, 20 minutes drive away from all the noise of the ring.

The staff were lovely. We were checked in by a gentleman who spoke English and was also the waiter. The dinner menu was amazing. Breakfast was great too, with a great variety. Gorgeous bathroom and shower.

There was no ceiling fan and the room was very warm. That would have made it perfect.

Very good

Staff and owners are friendly but not particularly used to non German speakers. They do however make an effort. Rooms are cleaned daily and parking is free and plentiful. The room itself is well appointed for the price and was above expectations. Breakfast starts punctually and the area is quite scenic. The restaurant, being more or less your only option for the area, has a reasonably extensive menu except on Mondays and Tuesdays due to the current labour crunch. Overall, we used this as a base to visit the Nurburgring and it was an excellent value for money location with guaranteed dinner service.

An English menu in the restaurant would be an easy fix. Breakfast is a little simple compared to what seems to be the average standard.

A comfortable, family-run hotel

A nice, quiet hotel with friendly, helpful staff in a pretty part of the region. The food at the restaurant was excellent and it was clearly popular with the locals. The roads in the area are great for motorbikes and the hotel had secured, covered parking for bikes.

Was not the first time there and won't be our last visit. Love the Pfahl!

Friendly, down to earth, authentic but above standard. Enjoyed the local cuisine in the restaurant, served by knowledgable staff that was willing to go the extra mile. View of "Eifel Vesuvio", the nearby Aremberg was superb and so was the absolute silence at night.

It's basically impossible to reach the hotel with public transport other than taxi - which sets you back about 45 Euros from any of the surrounding small towns.

Quaint German guesthouse

I booked a balcony room for our family of 4 and within an hour the property called me directly to suggest a bigger room that would better accommodate an extra bed. When we arrived it was such a pleasant experience to be able to spread out and enjoy the quiet and charming room. The bathroom has been updated and while the room furniture is older it is solid and fits well with the guesthouse. We ate dinner twice at the restaurant and loved it. It was also packed every night but they had reserved a table for us since we were staying at the hotel. This was very convenient as there weren’t any other close by restaurants.

The guesthouse is about 30 minutes to an hour from all the sights we wanted to visit. This was a little far as we were traveling with young kids. However, the comfort and value for money were worth the location.

Die Einrichtung war angemessen, aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Matratzen waren sehr gut. Wir haben super geschlafen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkpmmend. Alles in allem ein angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Aangenaam verblijf in de Eiffel.

We hadden een erg mooie en grote kamer in het bijgebouw tegenover het hotel met een heerlijk bed en moderne ruime badkamer. Het ontbijtbuffet was zeer goed verzorgd en de drie maaltijden die we hebben genuttigd waren erg lekker.

Ze hadden geen aparte lunchgerechten, zoals bijv. broodjes, uitsmijter e.d.

Gern wieder. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen!!!

Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Vergessenes Utensil wurde zeitnah nachgeschickt. Das Zimmer war geräumig, das Badezimmer komfortabel. Alles war sehr sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffett war vielfältig und reichhaltig. Es wurde aufgefüllt. Wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft gern weiter und buchen selbst bestimmt wieder dort, wenn wir in dieser Gegend wiederholt Urlaub machen werden.
