The hotel has a wonderful location! We had breakfast with a view of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore — the famous Florence Duomo. The breakfast was delicious, with a good selection of food and very pleasant service. The main sights of Florence are within easy walking distance. For example, it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the Duomo and around 15 minutes to the Uffizi Gallery. There is also a huge variety of restaurants, cafés and places to grab a bite near the hotel, with options for every taste and budget. We parked in a garage not far from the hotel. The hotel reserved a parking space for us at a special discounted rate. We simply contacted them in advance, told them what kind of car we had and what time we expected to arrive. There is a rooftop terrace at the hotel, which can be reached at any time via a spiral staircase. My daughter even got up early so that she could watch the sunrise from the terrace. I highly recommend this hotel. It offers a wonderful combination of comfort for both body and soul.

Everything was excellent.

I loved the feel of the traditional italian style room. Big dark wooden furniture it gave a gorgeous feeling to stay there. I loved the roof top area. It has tables up there so perfect to watch the sunset and eat a little picnic. The hosts were friendly and attentive. Their kindness was evident. Theres a communal fridge with water you can drink and space to store your own items. We safely left ours in the fridge with a room number label and guests left them there as there was a mutual respect amongst all guests which does not exsist today as much. Breakfast was simple but filling. Yoghurt fresh fruit cheese ham cakes cereal toast. Perfect to set you on your way. If you are looking for a modern place then its not for you but if you are looking for traditional italian experience this is it. Its perfect. Cosy and well cared for. X

Its not a negative thing but i will mention so others are aware at booking we loved our stay here. To get to this property you press an electronic button outside on a brown door. It has a little sign. So please be wary you are approaching a guest house set up not a hotel front. This adds to the character of a traditional stay on florence. This property is on the top floor. There are 70 steps to climb. The owner does help with bags. Just incase you are travelling with people who find stairs hard.

Location is in walking distance to everything you want to see in Florence.

Breakfast very poor, warm coffee- could do with a machine in the dining room that enabled you to make your own Hot drink, and have more than 1 cup of coffee. Better signage outside property, as hard to locate initially.
