Charisma Deluxe is a hotel that aspires to deliver a five-star experience, and in some moments you can feel the effort. Its greatest strengths are its location and setting: perched beautifully by the sea, with sweeping views, a lovely spa, and small touches such as a pillow menu that show an awareness of guest comfort. Having a Starbucks on the premises was a nice convenience, and the variety of bars around the resort added atmosphere, though the prices were on the high side. Yet, while the hotel tries to present itself as premium, the reality feels closer to a 4-star standard. The most striking issue is the lack of attention to detail—the very element that distinguishes true luxury from mediocrity. Much of the property is in need of renovation: furniture, decor, and facilities feel dated, chipping away at the polished image the hotel projects online. The room situation was a major disappointment. I did not receive the room type I booked through Booking.com, and the explanation I got was that the photos on the platform had been “mixed.” Such misrepresentation not only frustrates but also erodes trust. Dining left an even deeper impression, and not in a positive way. Breakfast was limited, monotonous, and repeated every day, while dinner offered a somewhat better variety but still lacked inspiration. But beyond the lack of variety, there was a serious issue with food safety: flies were hovering over the food at breakfast, something completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one that claims 5-star status. Cleanliness and proper hygiene around food should be non-negotiable, and this was one of the most disappointing aspects of the stay. The natural beauty of the sea outside the hotel should have been one of its greatest assets, but each day the water was dirty and virtually no effort was made to clean or maintain the swimming area. Bathrooms, too, fell short, equipped only with basic amenities and missing the premium toiletries one would reasonably expect.

Renovations were taking place so no lobby area to sit. Very nosiy and dusty and woke up each day by drilling and hammering etc. Indoor pool was closed for most of out stay (opened last day), we booked winter so specifically filtered our search for an indoor pool. Neither the hotel or booking.com told us any of this and one blamed the other. It was expensive as it was never mind with all this, not happy and unfortunately this has put us off
