Pai Vieng Fah Resort

The staff were really helpful especially helping book taxi to the airport and town. The coffee, drinks, and smoothies in the coffee shop we're good. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was lovely and clean. Pool towels available in the room wardrobe. Views were great - we had top floor rooms for the views. The walk to/from town isn't too far (when it's not the hottest part of the day). Breakfast was simple but fine enough - quite typical.

Would have been great if the menu was more obvious - we would've ordered from it for breakfast and on arrival - we saw it as we were leaving and I had looked around. There is a shuttle available to town - you do pay for it but it's cheaper than a local truck. It doesn't run every day. There are threats of fines everywhere - the most ridiculous one is the threat of charging 10x the original book price if you borrow and don't return. The books are extremely well thumbed and probably left by previous people or are from secondhand shops. Some towels are a little stained and/or have holes in them. Perfectly usable though.

Our bathroom sink was wonky and not attached to the wall properly, a few other minor damages in the room but not an issue for the stay

Medium-sized hotel a ten-minute walk from the hustle of the night market and the backpackers with a nice and extremely well-kept pool in beautiful surroundings. Phantastic view from the upper floor of the bungalows into the rice field and the mountains

Breakfast was decent but both rice and meat were cold both mornings

Peaceful location and great views over the surrounding fields. Low-fuss accommodation. Nice looking central pool. Staff were attentive.

Rooms were looking a little tired and rough around the edges. Curtains were ripped and the bedside lamp wouldn't plug into the wall. Breakfast was fine, if a bit sparse.
