Good location. Very friendly staff. Great studios with really comfy beds. Excellent spa!
It was lucky that our group was relatively young and fit as there was no lift in our building and we were on the top floor. The breakfast was a little disappointing for such a good quality hotel. It would have been useful to have received the information emails in English and/or French and not only in German.

The staff were super friendly. The bed was comfortable and the Location scenic.
There is no lift. Although the staff carried the bags up the stairs, I wouldn't want to be staying there for a long time. The AC actually worked but was quite noisy. The spa facilities only open at 12pm. There is no parking at the property. Its a hairy 11 minutes drive that gets you to the other side of the bridge. Its quite inconvenient. The picture of the jacuzzi in the room that I booked wasn't actually there. There was a bath tub. The Thai restaurant down stairs served the most expensive spring roll in history. Dont do it..... its really not worth it although cute, we went because nothing else open on a sunday, should have done uber eats.

We loved our stay at Limmathof Hotel and Spa. The location is on a quiet old street facing the river, a beautiful spot for a promenade and relaxation. Our room had a lovely design with a spacious bed. Breakfast took place in a building on the other side of the river, and we enjoyed the five-minute walk and crossing the bridge over the water to get there.
The spa was included in the price and was truly amazing. It featured different saunas, a steam room, and a thermal bath. We especially loved the beautiful salt room, the thermal pool with a waterfall and jacuzzi, all elegantly illuminated and designed. The spa area had many restrooms with tea available and a surprising ice room with an ice wall.
We also tried the small fitness room and were pleasantly surprised to find that on sunny days, you can train on the terrace facing the river.
It was two days of total relaxation and wellness just 20 minutes by train from Zurich main station.
I made a mistake with the booking and reserved a single room instead of a double. It cost us much more to change the booking at the hotel. I advise booking online and checking for one of the great offers, especially since there are excellent prices during the week.

The room, facilities and breakfast were great. The staff was really helpful, and the option to not have people cleaning the room and get a free drink for it was great.

Loved the spa, the room was lovely and proximity to great restaurants. Staff were very kind and we really enjoyed the room - which was tastefully decorated. Bed was comfy. Nice stroll along the river to the main town.
Taking 3 flights of stairs to the room, breakfast was in a completely separate building across the bridge and on the other side of the river - not optimal. Also position of the bed was directly under the window and light flooded in and onto our heads in the morning. Location was good, but still quite a distance from the main town centre.

The staff were absolutely amazing. I had a mental breakdown and they were fast to respond. They are patient. Even in check in, the lady could see my disappointment 😞 and came straight to assist. Explained parking 4 times. Extremely nice ladies.
They had a sewing kid and a dental kit which was nice. Clean on my changed room.
The hotel itself is horrible, the pictures are of new building but the hotel is old building. The reception smelled of chlor with old padlocks for spa, towels etc on front desk its old and unkept. They upgraded to junior suit which was newly renovated, they have 4 or more different building you wont know which is which. Oohhh no elevator and we were to be on 3rd floor with a stroller and luggage. The junior suit had cables visible if you have kids and the bathroom is open. No fridge just a safe but they have a coffee station. Rooms not sound proof you hear everything going on outside. It's just very misleading adverts on booking. Parking was 9 minutes drive round and after parking you walk 3minutes with luggage to hotel. It just wasn't a fun stay. The pictures are of new block and when hotel was new. No view no balcony. They say no kids in spa.... so we assume kids can go to pool not spa.... well no kids in pool/ spa area. Whole area.

Amazing spa, I slept like a baby after it in my beautiful spacy room:😊

SPA facilities, to be found on the other side of the street if you stay in one of the studios.
Shower curtain in Studio 3, which was all the way up with no elevator, makes a bathroom floor messy.
No place in shower but floor for keeping your amenities close, unless you leave your products outside, which again, leaves everything wet.
Sink/table in bathroom built too low.
Studios are upstairs of a Thai restaurant, you pass by its kitchen on left of the entrance, with dining room on right side of stairs (…) while you are in your robe and slippers, and others waiting to be attended for a table…
After check out they asked for 10CHF refund because they said we didn’t return one of the key cards (…) which we did turn in.
Breakfast was too basic, only warm food was scrambled eggs and bacon. Not all staff speaks English.

The reception and service people are wonderful and very helpful. They were extremely helpful in setting up restaurant reservations, taxi and spa reservations.
There was no elevator to my floor and my room was on the top floor and I had to carry 3 large checked bags and 2 carry ons (my son was skiing so he could not help) up 7 flights of stairs!! There was no bell man or staff to help with bags. And of course going to the room and back a number times of day certainly was exhausting. There was no mention that there wasn’t an elevator or service people to handle luggage. There was also no specific shampoo or conditioner in the room (they had a shower wash that was supposed to work for a shampoo)…..and only one body lotion was there….kind of strange for a spa hotel. Also, the historic hotel I stayed does not have food service so the breakfast that comes with the hotel room is in their modern hotel across the river. The service for breakfast was great though. I thought the staff were all wonderful but they just weren’t equipped to help with bags and with no elevator in the old hotel, it was my greatest work out for 2022 and 2023…..thankfully no heart attack! And finally, they had advertised a voucher available for the taxi to take us to the train station. There were no spots available in trying to reserve the cab they coordinate the voucher with the night before which makes the voucher deal not able to use.

Beautiful old hotel with an exceptional spa! I believe my stay included access to the spa and breakfast. It was a little pricey but Switzerland is an expensive country! Great location right on the river and short walk to Forty Seven Spa and the town of Baden. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was fine nothing special but comfortable. I would stay here again!
Nothing!

The SPA is very beautiful and hotel is located in a nice place in the village. The staff was very kind.
The apartment was not bad itself, but the fact that it was located under the roof transforms it in a real oven at this period of time (By chance during my stay there where clouds in the sky), but it was really too hot in this room. Although there was a good but too small clim for the size of the room, the noise induced by this air cooling was very disturbing. I think there is a special problem with this room, I did not visit the others. I did not sleep and did my check out the second day.
No discount was offered to me for that and I was fully charged and lost one full day. More over all was closed and there were not open public room in this hotel, there were works during these days and no restaurant correctly available.
I'm very disappointed to discover that in my country, it is more and more difficult to find management hotel teams that really take care and responsability related to what happen in their place, even if they are not in the hotel when it is happening.

Amazing staff, 10
minutes walk till the central train station and the supermarkets, the studio is well equipped.
There is no elevator in the building with studios. but the staff was very nice and helped me with my luggage.

practically nothing.
1. it is misrepresented. You do not stay in the buildings shown above but in either of 2 modern ugly buildings, one almost next door and one on the other side of the river
2. the new “suites” are not suites, just medium sized rooms. the bathrooms have glass walls and net curtains so with the light on they are transparent - zero privacy!
3. the parking I selected on the booking.com filter does not exist - you have to use a public carpark at your cost.
4. the air conditioning I selected as a filter was a small ad-on unit. after running it at maximum for 15 hours it reduced 27’ to 25’. it was too hot to sleep.
5. it has no 4* facilities - no restaurant, no porters, no room service, no in-room information. breakfast is at the Italian restaurant over the river. Adequate but well below 4* standard.
it is presented as a 4*hotel & spa. in reality it is a spa with rooms. only the spa is in the historic building. So if you are looking for a 4/5* luxury suite or room in a gracious building to sleep in cool comfort - this is NOT it.

The room was very big, almost a little too big... The free-standing wooden bathtub was amazing and the bed was very comfy. The spa was sensational: we were almost the only ones there on a Tuesday morning and it really felt like having it all to ourselves!
The room felt a little cold due to the interior design choices (it lacked a sense of warmth and coziness) and dark since we couldn't really open the curtains of the giant windows because it was right next to the pedestrian walkway.

nothing that I can think of
