Location. Good communication via messages. Coffee in the lobby. Friendly staff. Strong, hot shower. Pillows and bed were comfortable. Tiny elevator good for lifting luggage and people in need.

Tiny rooms. Door squeaked (room 31 - needs oil!) No refrigerator. No chairs, only tall stools. Tiny blankets.

Great hotel in a location that is 10/10!

We had a great stay! The rooms were very comfortable. The beds were nice and big and comfortable to sleep in. The room was very clean. The staff were very nice and helpful. Our room was a few doors down from the main hotel, but was easy to get into and was nice and quiet. The location cannot be beat! It's right by the main square and an easy walk to all other main attractions in Brugge. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting, especially if it's nice for families!

We didn't find a kettle in the kitchen, but it's not a deal breaker! Still loved our stay!

Great location, but redesign the rooms and ensure a joyful employee in reception

The ladies who served at breakfast were very friendly, nice and helpful. Location was excellent, as was the parking facility just 50m away.

The toilet was for all practical purposes IN THE ROOM! All the smell went into the room immediately after usage of the toilet. The toilet (and shower) are merely separated from the room by pieces of glass. No seals of any kind around the glass door. The room was super cramped. Better with a narrower bed and removal of the very long bar/sink counter, which took lots of the space. The layout of the room was basically poorly designed. The gentleman who greeted us in the reception was not friendly at all.

Very good location one block away from the noise

Located just off the main square was a perfect area to sightsee from. You were there, but you would not eat it. When traveling we do our laundry once a week. The hotel laundromat was fantastic! it included all the washing powder, etc. Photo instructions made it easy to understand and use the machines. Everything was very clean. The breakfast at the hotel was also wonderful with a wide selection of both hot and cold food. Loved their waffle machine. We had a 3 person room facing the garden of the back of the hotel. It was really quiet and we slept in daily.

Fantastic stay at Hotel Marcel in Bruges!

Excellent location, easy to find off Market Square. The family room was excellent, spacious and clean. Check in and out was easy. Breakfast was wonderful. The staff were lovely, helpful and personable. They were very accommodating to our group which we greatly appreciated. Easy walk to Market Square, other attractions, restaurants and pubs. There is a shuttle service available from the Bruges train station to Market Square for around 3 euro per person. The shuttle stop is an easy 5 minute walk from the hotel. Would highly recommend Hotel Marcel.

Local owned gem in Bruge

I was on the third floor and liked the location, my friends were on 2nd floor. I had a nicer room with the entire bathroom behind a door, my friends had the sink in the room and shower/toilet separate. The bed was very comfortable and there was enough room to move around. Location for walking around was perfect. Really enjoyed the breakfast selection

Not the hotel fault. There was a bar that closed @ 0230 and the patrons ended up on the street behind me, hanging out for a hour or so and were loud. Had to close windows to sleep.

Lovely stay in a good quality, ideally located hotel.

The location could not be better. Just round the corner from the central Markt / main square, yet quiet at night in the accommodation. We had a suite with 2 spacious and nicely furnished bedrooms. Very clean. Excellent breakfast - there's a waffle maker which our two girls loved. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Definitely recommend this hotel

Staff were lovely. Location was perfect, a stone's throw from the main square. Breakfast was ideal. The bed was super comfy, like a cloud.

Only thing I'd complain about was some parts of the room were not clean. There was a good bit of dust around the towel racks and the edges of the room. Otherwise it was perfect.

Very nice hotel, would definately recommend

Location was excellent, right in the middle of the city. The room was really nice and modern, with a smart bathroom arrangement to maximise the room’s footprint. The hotel was among the most affordable in its category that we found so it exceeded expectations and it was good value for money for the location.

The small double room that we got was arranged very smartly but it was actually quite small, it was hard to find space for the luggage. Due to the very central location, the room can also get a bit noisy at nights.
