A very welcoming and comfortable Bavarian alpine guest house with good food, good beer and good beds
The Hummerlei is about 2 km from the main road to Austria and about 300m above the valley bottom. The view of the Kaiser ranges across the valley was amazing, I could look at it all day and not be disappointed. The food was very good Bavarian traditional and the Ox-steak was exceptional. Breakfasts were traditional but sumptuous with a wide variety of meats and cheeses amd jams. The room in a separate house to the main resaurant was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The free WiFi (WLAN) worked well but was suspended after an hour. It was never a problem to sign-on again. This is a hotel where I would certainly want to return to.
I'm struggling to find anything negative to criticize and the only thing I can think of is that the stay would have been better in non-Covid times.
