It was very central. Perfect for exploring. Swimming pool refreshing and well looked after.
Breakfast was excellent. So much choice

Its central position, an attractive old building converted to a hotel with stunning views, friendly and helpful staff, attractive furnishings around the hotel.
The hotel access is difficult to locate within the village, a staff member guided us in by phone. Our room was more basic than we had expected and a bottle of mineral water would have been welcome.
Toiletries were limited to a shower/shampoo dispenser on the wall and minute tablets of soap.
The hotel’s WiFi didn’t work.
Breakfast is set out on the table before you sit down with items we would never eat, seemed a waste.
The hotel’s lift is not accessible on all floors- many stairs to climb, especially as reception is 5 floors down!

Location was central, easy to get to and good parking. Very much liked the variation in the hotel’s layout and the hacienda feel, the quiet areas with sofas / chairs, where you could chill in peace and quiet. The allocated rooms were ample and spotless. Loads of hot water and shower had a great pressure. One room had a terrace with a lovely view over the castle. The staff encountered were welcoming and friendly. Enjoyed that breakfast awaited you at the table and no need to run the gauntlet of the buffet self service. Sit down and enjoy being serviced with a smile. The pool was a godsend after a day hiking or wandering. Plenty of loungers, some in proper shade. Another place to chill before dinner.
1. One room had a bath with shower over. This really needed a couple of grab-rails for safety in getting in and out of bath. 2. The WIFI to this room was variable and lost connection if the WIFI was in demand. It could be doing with a boost. 3. Would have liked a thumb turn to lock the room door on the inside instead of using the door key. 4. No in-room safe, but valuables could be left at reception
