Il Mercato Hotel & Spa

For various reasons I have spent 6 weeks this year in Sharm, I have spent 5 weeks at Il mercato. As a woman travelling alone I have felt very safe. The staff have been very friendly and helpful almost looking out for me. If I ever have to come back I will be staying here. Many thanks to all of the staff for there kindness.

The food was good, the breakfast omelettes were great. All of the staff weather at the pool or elsewhere were very helpful and considerate. The property is highly family-oriented, and there was never a dull moment. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained, from the youngest kids to the adults. The facilities, pools, and daily schedules are perfectly tailored for families looking to stay active and have fun together. I did run into one major hiccup during our stay. The animation manager was quite rude during an interaction, which was incredibly disappointing given the family-friendly focus of the resort. However, the way management handled the situation completely turned our vacation around. I brought the issue to the Front Desk Manager, who was absolutely exceptional. He listened to my concerns, handled the situation with total professionalism, and personally went above and beyond to ensure the rest of the stay was pleasant and comfortable. The stellar leadership and quick intervention of the front desk manager saved my trip.

1. While the pools are perfectly fine, don't expect a huge pool where you can actually swim lengths. 2. There wasn't an electrical input with earth or a converter from (3-pin to 2-pin) available, so I had to buy one from a near store

The staff is really nice especially Mr. Mahmoud and Mr. Mohamed They were really supportive and responsive on spot for any needs , resturant had a lot of variety and good taste It was one of the best I ever stayed in Sharm and inshallah will repeat it

The staff at the hotel are very friendly and polite and they did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. The Aqua park is very good and the kids really enjoyed themselves. The Hotel has a very good beach and is a 5 min drive away (hotel provides a free bus service to the beach).

We booked a family room(2 adults, 3 children) and the room was terrible, we asked for a room change (there was no fuss and the staff were great) and were moved into a smaller room with 2 extra beds. The rooms are run down and need renovating. There is a strong smell in the bathrooms, we had 4 rooms booked in total and all rooms were the same. Also room cleaning service was a hit and miss, our room was cleaned for the first few days and then were not cleaned. We had to ask for the room to be cleaned every-time. The all-inclusive food is pretty much the same everyday with little variety, the hotel needs to change up the menu.
