Il Mercato Hotel & Spa

​This is not our first time staying at this hotel. ​Absolutely all of the staff are friendly, polite, and helpful. I can't even single anyone out because everyone was so kind to us - starting from our HK, the F&B staff, and the Front Office team, all the way to the GM. ​The effort everyone puts into making your stay enjoyable cannot go unnoticed. What really won my heart was seeing upper management right there on the floor, working alongside and helping other employees. ​While the food variety isn't massive, everything is delicious. There are no unnecessary dishes added just to make the buffet look larger. The meal quality and service at the à la carte restaurant were brilliant. Having worked for many years in customer service, I believe service should be seamless and never intrusive. That is exactly how it was here—you wouldn't even notice your drinks being refilled or meals being served; everything just magically appeared. ​Special thanks to Esraa (kids animator) for all the great activities. My daughter didn't want to leave. ​Thank you to the Il Mercato Hotel team for a wonderful stay. Wishing you continued success and great guests!

A couple of small suggestions: First, pre-arrival communication could be improved, as the email addresses listed didn't seem to work when I tried reaching out before our trip. Second, the hotel should strictly restrict smoking during kids' animation activities, as some children might be asthmatic or allergic and shouldn't have to inhale second-hand smoke.

For various reasons I have spent 6 weeks this year in Sharm, I have spent 5 weeks at Il mercato. As a woman travelling alone I have felt very safe. The staff have been very friendly and helpful almost looking out for me. If I ever have to come back I will be staying here. Many thanks to all of the staff for there kindness.

The staff at the hotel are very friendly and polite and they did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. The Aqua park is very good and the kids really enjoyed themselves. The Hotel has a very good beach and is a 5 min drive away (hotel provides a free bus service to the beach).

We booked a family room(2 adults, 3 children) and the room was terrible, we asked for a room change (there was no fuss and the staff were great) and were moved into a smaller room with 2 extra beds. The rooms are run down and need renovating. There is a strong smell in the bathrooms, we had 4 rooms booked in total and all rooms were the same. Also room cleaning service was a hit and miss, our room was cleaned for the first few days and then were not cleaned. We had to ask for the room to be cleaned every-time. The all-inclusive food is pretty much the same everyday with little variety, the hotel needs to change up the menu.
