Riad Dar Nouba

Staying at this riad in Marrakesh felt less like a hotel and more like being welcomed into someone's home, because in many ways, that's exactly what it was. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with tea and genuine hospitality. The hosts took time to sit with us and share thoughtful recommendations around the city that we never would have found on our own. Every morning began with a beautiful homemade breakfast prepared by their cook, which set the tone for the entire day. The rooms are gorgeous, the decor stunning, and the atmosphere throughout is quiet, serene, and incredibly safe. We left feeling genuinely cared for. Highly recommend.

The owner was very kind and welcoming—he greeted us with the best mint tea we had in Marrakech and gave us tips to enjoy the city. Breakfast was delicious and varied, with local breads, jams, fruit, yogurt, and more, and he even prepared a takeaway for our early departure, which we really appreciated. Our room (Tamegrout) was clean and comfortable, and the garden was very relaxing, with a sweet cat :) The location is convenient for exploring and reaching taxis, although the surrounding area may look a bit run-down and poorly lit at first. Despite that, we found it to be calm and safe.

Nothing. The riad is in the north of medina but it was straightforward to get everywhere we wanted. Close to perfume museum and Maison de la Photographie and some lovely teahouses about 15 mins to Djmaa El F'naa and 25 mins to Kasbah

From start to finish, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! If you want an authentic stay and want to experience the real Marrakech, then this is for you! A beautiful, clean and tranquil riad, it is an oasis of calm in the busy medina, after a day of sightseeing or haggling in the souk. A tastefully decorated property, delicious traditional moroccan breakfast, call to prayer each morning and sunsets on the rooftop terrace, what more could you ask for!! Our hosts, Merwan and Gaethane were superb, making us feel very welcome and looked after. Great advice, maps and answers to questions from Merwan made us feel safe at all times, nothing was too much trouble. Make sure you have an evening meal at the riad, it is gorgeous and outstanding value for money and also get Merwan to organise an airport transfer for you as this made finding the property easy. We would love to come back to Marrakech again and would most definitely stay at Riad Dar Nouba, thank you both!
