Great staff, beautiful resort.

Stunning resort, pool villa was beautiful, staff were all so lovely and helpful.

Bed wasn’t very comfortable and hard to sleep with animals on the roof most of the night, location is very isolated, which is also a good thing if you wanted a forced restful resort stay.

Really nice stay

Very nice hotel, we had the room with pool and it was just amazing. Beach was nice, swimming only during high tide. Breakfast was good, dinner at the restaurant in the evening was really really good.

There was not much around the hotel, the Restaurants near were not really good. So we had to take a Taxi to the next village or eat at the hotel.

Private pool next to the beach

We travel with a baby 4 month old. The staff help with everything. My wife had a birthday and they gave us a great cake. The room is big and clean with an exit to the beach (50 meter). The private pool was perfect. Highly recommend.

A pleasant stay but a little out of the way.

We loved our villa perched high up on the side of a hill overlooking the ocean with its terrace, its small pool and sweet cabana from where we watched the storms roll in and the angry ocean upset with so much rain - it is the height of the rainy season after all. Our room was spaceous, comfortable and nicely decorated. We hired a bike and did a most enjoyable ride around bay and local villages.

The food and the dinning area in general was a disappointment. Breakfast was pleasant was not wonderful. The bar was similarly a disappointment with cocktails tasting as though they were premixed . Elixir is a long way south and the small village it's in has no restaurants, bars or cafes to compensate for lack of food in the resort. Such a shame as there is plenty of potential.

Everything! From the staff to the room, everything was superb. Beautiful beach, and the private pool room was romantic and clean. Tons of great activities offered (many for free). Staff was kind and helpful, even when we did not book their services.

Amazing place

Hidden truly paradise. I love this place. I really would like to come back sometimes. We spent a wonderful time with my family in very pleasant place with such a wonderful crew.

For family of 4 was a little expensive to every day pay lunch and dinner in their restaurant. There is not so much possibilities to eat outside if you have no rent motorbike or you have to pay Taxi.

The location was wonderful, beautiful beach which was looked after by staff. The deluxe rooms were lovely, beds very comfortable and air con worked perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the grounds beautifully maintained.

Very quiet and relaxing stay on a very quiet island

Beautiful views and landscaping. We were very comfortable in our villa and loved the outdoor shower. Breakfasts were delicious with lots to choose from. We also liked the nightly happy hour, watching the sunset with a cocktail.

There isn't much to do on Koh Yao Yai. It's very rural, and there is little reason to leave the resort and go elsewhere. We rented a boat to go island hopping, which was great. We also rented mopeds to explore the island, which was kind of cool---lots of beautiful beaches. However, there is zero nightlife and barely any other restaurants around. This is a resort and an island to head to if you really want to chill out and relax. We spent a lot of time reading, relaxing, and swimming, and ate at the one restaurant every night for 4 nights.

Obsessed with this place

Elixir Resort was the perfect place to stay. The Superior Villa has everything you can possible ask for, including a very pleasant decoration. The hotel is calm, they provide endless drinking water and other cheap options on the mini bar. The private beach enchanting and the pool is great. The restaurant spot and food is wonderful and the staff always treats you with a big smile and willingness to help. We couldn’t ask for anything else. Thank you Elixir Resort.

We were in a room with a pool but the toilet flush was not not working and the hand faucet broke. We called folks to fix the plumbing but the issue did not resolve. It was also very hard to communicate with them

Wonderful stay.

10 meter walk to the beach from the beachfront villas with own pool and plenty of space for a small family like ours (with an infant). Part of a small village with local shops and restaurants, which makes for a nice walk outside the property. Definitely try all the small vendors selling local treats! The staff at the hotel is wonderful and accommodated us with everything we needed - baby cot, water heater, extra towels, water every day etc etc. We initially only booked a 4 day stay, but ended up prolonging our stay with 4 more days because we enjoyed it so much. The restaurant at GLOW was amazing, offering authentic Thai food with great value for money. If you are looking for a place to relax to the sound of waves, this is the place.

It is not a new hotel and one should not expect it to be. What it lacks in refurbished villas or rooms, it makes up for in service, location, staff and ambience.

Idyllic setting

Spent nine nights here on honeymoon. Asked for sea view and got that. All the rooms are mini villas. Very clean and comfortable - lovely decor. Staff very friendly, helpful and professional. Well run operation. Room cleaned immaculately every day. Breakfasts were superb - could have more or less anything you want bar pork products. But food was tasty and original. Pool lovely. Sea warm and beautiful at high tide - low tide revealing muddy / Shelly substrate but alive with thousands of crabs. What sets this place aside from the other (including five star) hotels is the garden. Stunning and makes for superb photo back drop. 11/10 for the gardeners - they make this location truly idyllic Be aware that the whole island has a marine plastics issue.

The beachfront view is great and the staff are super nice and helpful. Overall a great resort to escape the city. I would suggest visiting the local restaurants even though the resort food is also great!

As the resort is near nature, do expect some bugs. BUT there were no pests at all so that was good!

The nicest Thai resort staff

The staff are the nicest people and the resort is lovely. I highly recommend a beach front pool villa. the pool is great and the room is large and has a wonderful outdoor shower. The food is very good with enough choices for our 5 night stay. The outdoor crew sweep everyday and the grounds are well kept. The transfer to and from the resort was well timed and efficient.

we traveled in June and there is a large amount of rubbish in the water washing up on the beach. It comes across from Phuket and off fishing boats. They clean the beach in front of the main area everyday but it’s relentless. apparently its not so bad outside of the rainy season. we felt quite sad and angry this is happening.

Nice stay but for few days only

The view, the peacefulness at the hotel with no other hotels around. The room we had with its own little swimming pool. The food the hot was pretty fresh and good.

Options of alcohol drinks are a little poor and not very good except for the local beers . the hotel is little far from the main area where other hotels are like Santhiya. The staff is not always attentive to the customers by the restaurant or in general. there is no phone to call the room service or reception in the rooms. The swimming pool was way to hot and they don't have a system to make it colder. April and May are the hottest month in thailand. It was not refreshing neither the sea at the beach at this time.
