An incredible quiet hotel sorounded by lush gardens

I have just arrived from my stay at the plataran Canggu villages with great satisfaction in having chosen it as my hotel in the southern part of my trip to Bali. Although the hotel has already had its years and it is not centrally located, the maintenance is perfect, and to have a villa surrounded by a lush garden is an unforgettable experience. To take a shower surrounded with tropical plants in an open air bathroom is a must . They have details as for example , every evening the staff come to your villa to put mosquito repellent to avoid them when you arrive , every day they leave you cookies next to the coffee set and at the arrival they offer you some exotic fruits nicely decorated with flowers.The bed mattress is very comfortable and the mosquito net make your room very impressive. The most impressive thing about the premises is its staff, they are very kind and helpful, always willing to help you with a great smile and a joyful attitude suggesting places to go. I won't mention any names because all of them were so kind to us and we had conversations about their culture and traditions while we were waiting for a Crab service at the Lobby. To sum up , if you are dreaming to stay in a lush environment with good attention without spending a fortune, this is the place to book. You will not regret it. I want to thank all these young members of the staff that help us to get an unforgettable stay.

Very relaxing. A good place to escape from the normal stress of life.

It was like having your own small “home” in the middle of a botanical garden. Very private and quiet. Meals were delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful but lacking.

Firstly I have to say that staff were exceptional & our issues were rectified monetarily & with kindness. We are a repeat guest. Our last stay was beyond exceptional, however this visit was underwhelming. However, credit must be given because the staff worked super hard to fix the problems, but they could’ve been avoided in advance. The hotel as a general is getting run down (in comparison to our last visit which was pristine) for a 5 star & did come across as a little unkept. It was still a beautiful stay & the 2 bedroom Villa is very beautiful. I do believe that the pool filters should run longer than 2 hours a day & management should review this. The staff were amazing, helpful & kind.

Superb and first class!

Beautiful villa with beautiful pool, beautiful landscape and traditional balinese structures. Perfect location in that it was situated between Canggu and seminyak, without the noisiness! Staff also went above and beyond to make sure our stay was first class! Especially when celebrating my husbands birthday! Everyone was so polite and welcoming!!

My first bad review

Parking was easy

Room was not clean, there was black dusts raining in on one side of the bed all the time. Bed was creaking all over. Water in the shower has no pressure, and can turn to be very hot or very cold at any time. Maintenance of the whole hotel is way below minimum expectations. Breakfast is sub-average. Spa facility closes at 5 pm?? Going in and out of the hotel traffic is crazily bad

nice big main pool and nice restaurant, limited food options for all meals and not close to many restaurants lovely staff as always

sooooo many bugs in rooms/ toilets frogs lizards and no de bug treatment! not enjoyable to sit around the pool or in public outside spaces no hotel entertainment or activities, not great for solo travelers

Hospitality - quick response time location in Canggu

Condition of villa - towel quality, toiletries etc as many reviews read as well the plugs and sockets are old but should not be too much of concern but overall it seemed old quality of breakfast - limited and average to say least.

Superb

Beautifully landscaped grounds. Stayed in a villa with a private pool which was simply sublime. They had a load of activities all throughout the day that one could indulge in, and while not at the heart of Canggu, it’s a short drive away. Service levels were top notch. They understood what children needed and were flexible in accommodating to our needs, even arranging for courier pick ups from stores around Bali and for delivery to Jakarta. Whatever you need, just text them on WhatsApp.

Parts of the room are a little old, not exactly up to date with USB charging points, and easy to access sockets. No biggie seriously.

Tranquil, charming escape from the bustle of Canggu

Peaceful, a beautiful slice of Old Bali, full of character and charm. We had the best one bed pool villa and it was delightful.Staff are delightful, and food was great. We loved coming back to the peace and grace of Plataran each day.

Its quite a way from beaches/shops and roads are crazy busy so walking not a safe option (this goes for most areas in the south to be faur). Staff offer a free transfer service, just ask. Set times to Seminyak and the beach which works well.

Got all the space for ourselves

Stayed there during the pandemic, we were the only guests within 19 villas. It feels like we have our own chef and waiters ready to serve us with good food and pleasant drinks! Plataran service is superb. We practically didnt go anywhere just enjoy the time chillin by the main pool. Would definitely go back any time. It’s quiet and serene.

Quite a lot of mosquitos, although they provided mosquitos repellant. The breakfast didnt have lots of choices.

Fine if you are happy to stay in the resort and have no need to go out anywhere

The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was good.

The location was very poor. It took 30 minutes by car to get to the real tourist part of Canggu and mostly we had to pay extra for this as the shuttle times were not convenient. The place felt very tired - especially the grounds around the entry and the reception area. It was very underwhelming given the price we paid.

L’emplacement … la végétation luxuriante… Le teatime très apprécié avec ses petits gateaux!! Délicieux petits déjeuner et repas du soir servis au bord de la piscine privative !! L’amabilité superbe du personnel prêt à vous faire plaisir à tout moment.. C’est notre troisième séjours à Plataran et je penses pas le dernier!!

Note récent séjour a été une expérience absolument remarquable. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été frappé par la bienveillance et la gentillesse du personnel. Chaque interaction était empreinte d'un sourire sincère rendant l'atmosphère incroyablement accueillante et agréable. Leur attention et leur gentillesse ont véritablement contribué à rendre ce séjour mémorable. Au-delà de l'hospitalité exceptionnelle le cadre est un enchantement.

La décoration des lieux est tout simplement magnifique. Élégant et authentique chaque détail semble avoir été pensé avec soin pour créer une ambiance à la fois luxueuse et confortable.
