At short notice on a public holiday they helped us alot.

We booked at short notice but we got what we needed. On Christmas day we had no problems getting our room keys. Pools nice for a quick dip.

Great stay

The service and check in was exceptional! Welcoming and friendly. I really liked the pool, it was cold cold, which was lovely on a hot day. The room was impeccably clean, and the staff amazing.a short drive to everything.

We were visiting relations in the Pukekohe area and other Auckland locations. Our stay was pleasant.

The location was very convenient for travel, shops and visiting relatives. It was quiet at night allowing good sleep. Excellent cleanliness.

The flooring in the bathroom/toilet is loose in places and makes a noise when walking on it. No Air Conditioning, the Fan was only just adequate as it was a period of hot weather.

No soaps or shampoo provided…the room smelt like BO….and why supply kitchen utensils when you struggle to fill the kettle up from the wash basin

Perfect for staying the night after attending our evening event

The best thing was the AMAZING water pressure in the shower ! Spotlessly clean bathroom too. The whole room was clean, tidy and warm. Bed was comfy and cosy. Perfect for staying the night after attending our evening event

Conveniently located, this Motel is looking rather tired.

Convenient location and the pool is a good draw card. Spacious unit and the kitchen is pleasant. Always nice to be offered fresh milk and free wifi.

This was the more expensive of the two room options, but I was disappointed in the standard. The towels were tatty and worn and ready to demote to rags, the basin had massive blackened cracks and didn’t look very appealing, the chrome shelving unit in the bathroom was covered in rust and I would have replaced it if it were mine, not a comfortable mattress, not as clean as it should have been (old milk still in fridge, toothpaste smears and dribbles on basin splashback and the glasses hadn’t been washed properly - had lip marks on them and they needed washing) and luckily I took a good duvet to use in place of the light synthetic bedding in this motel.

Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay at Bk’s Counties Motor Lodge

Regarding the breakfast, one of the items mentioned on the Information Sheet in the main room indicated that breakfast was available. However, upon enquiry, I was advised that it has not been available since Covid times. I nicely suggested to the Owner that the Information Sheet needs to be updated to reflect this.

The free standing Towel Rail in the bathroom was rusted at the base.

Underwhelming

The place is not clean, there were clothes belonging to ???? In the HWC, there were no spare loo rolls in the toilet and the empty roll not replaced in the morning servicing. The place is very tired and not well loved - but the staff are pleasant and the location great.

Always clean and tidy, and the kids love the pool and all being able to hang out with the adult's pool side when the weather is good.

The mattress what a little lumpy and uncomfortable for the bed in the bedroom and the bed in the living area.

Location worked for us, and it was quiet. The manager was particularly helpful, and kindly helped us out by ferrying us to a restaurant when the taxis were too busy. Very grateful.
