Good location central to Hamilton. I managed to park in a guest park on-site although it was very tight. The staff are really good.
The first three rooms that I was given hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests had left. So it was fourth time lucky. The room was okay but it was like a maze and I had to walk a considerable way just to get there each time. It is hit and miss as to whether your room key works and whether it will actually lock once you’re inside or leaving. Breakfast was below average.

Location and free parking. Nice pillows.
Tiny room, concrete walls for a view, no power points to charge phone, no shower caps, could hardly open the door without hitting the bed.

Location fantastic but oh so noisy with local night life… the maintenance is poor I had to slam my door shut multiple times to get it to shut & air conditioned needed a service it snored louder than my husband…
Noise…..

loved being able to look out the window and see 'life'..... last time we stayed (which was our first time there) all we had to look at was a brick wall. Thoroughly loved having private parking, especially behind locked gates, worth the cost.
Being able to open the window would have been a bonus.

Location is excellent
Stayed 2 days and they only made the bed, didn't replace all the toiletries, face cloths or milk. Had to ring reception.
Rooms are not sound proof, pretty rowdy especially when the young adults are drinking.
This happened the previous time we stayed with the room.

The room was amazing. Loved the massage chair. Loved the restaurant being so close.
The halls were a little scary, especially the bars in the windows. The parking was terrible. Not a lot of space to park and move.

Aircon was noisy. Tried to open windows but that was even worse.

I asked for an upgrade and I paid $20 extra per night for upgrade which wasn’t that bad . The upgraded room was renovated with large bathroom a table and chair and a couch and a nice AC .
The room I was checked in was very small and at the end of the hallway . The bathroom was very small and the shower had to climb up . It was hot tiny room . But thank god I asked for an upgrade .

Once I rearranged the flimsy desk furniture, there was sufficient floor space to leave my large roller suitcase open.
To enter the bathroom, a 20cm step up from the main floor; additionally, a 30cm step up into the shower stall. There are no grip handles/bars.
Saturday night until 3am the street noise/party was audible despite closed windows.

Location was excellent as we went to the Dave Dobbyn concert at the new BNZ theatre. Having available secure parking free of charge.
Room smelt slightly damp and closed up. Needed a good airing (no opening windows) and room freshener.
Disappointed in the breakfast, food didnt look very fresh & appetising.

Location is good but that is all that is good about this hotel.
The hotel is old and needs to be updated. The couch and coffee table were damaged. No coffee, tea or milk was provided.

We stayed in an add-on section of the hotel because we wanted a family apartment with multiple bedrooms. The living room had a comfy sectional sofa and balcony was great.
When our prearranged tour guide checked with the front desk staff, they said we weren't guests at the hotel. The hallway between the hotel and addon had old carpet, dingy walls and dilapidated miniblinds.

The location is great
The fact that the cleaners didn't make our beds or didn't clean the room to our standard.

Location was the reason for booking as I was playing at the venue across the road again, car parking availability, cafe in same building, checking in & out "easy peasy".
Tiny room, cold shower (had to step up into shower), if I leant forward when sitting on the toilet, I would bash my head on the sink, had trouble opening with card entry door handle, room very outdated needs upgrade.

Spacious and clean room. Bathroom spotless and great shower pressure. Excellent location in the CBD - 2 minute walk to Sky Casino. Garaged car park with internal access is available for $25 which was perfect!

Right in the center of all dining places. Good service.
Room is so small, not enough space if you have a luggage. Shampoo and body soap in one bottle that nearly empty.

Dirty and most unwelcoming.
The guy on the front desk didn't even look at me....
it was disgusting.
Obviously been chasing money for social housing.

Breakfast was absolutely not worth. Everything was not fresh at all and the selection very poor. Old croissants, scrambled eggs were cold, solubile coffee, very poor selection. Rooms were old and not really clean, only one pillow each, mattress also was not the best. People at the reception were not that helpful and friendly. Never again! The hotel needs to be absolutely renovated

Location was central to where I needed to be, which was a main reason I chose this venue (in this price range).
Staff were not particularly attentive or helpful, both to me and apparently internally.
I noticed that the room did not have any privacy curtains (ie sheer enough to let light through, but not allow people outside to see in easily), and that the over-sink light in the bathroom was burnt out. I reported this to the front desk on my first morning there, and was told that the maintenance person was on leave, so there was nothing they could do. They'd look at moving me. I never heard back from them, and the issues weren't fixed. The curtains were especially annoying as I was on the second floor (i.e. one about ground level), so there was direct line of sight in from the street level.
It was a bit of a lottery as to what linens would be refreshed each day. Some days I go the full complement, other days I didn't get any face cloths, one day I only got one towel replaced.
On my final day I confirmed that I could leave my car in the reserved car park until 4:30 in the afternoon with front desk staff. At noon I received several phone calls from reception asking if I could come move my car. Apparently the person who confirmed/approved my request didn't document/write it down/communicate it to other staff.
The room smelled slightly musty.

Location
The room was tiny and you had to turn sideways to get into the bathroom. There was no where to hang our towels. There was a constant noise form the building next door, I couldn't sleep the first night.

Originally I liked the price, and I liked the size of the rooms- very spacious.
Although the rooms have been renovated the carpet is in serious need of redoing which just makes the whole place feel dirty. We didnt get any sleep, walls are paper thin and you could hear people walking and talking in the hallways above, aswell as the hallway beside us allll night

Loved the quirkiness and proximity to everything. The breakfast was fabulous, great way to start the day.
The hosts were the most delightful couple and offered us dinner which was so kind.

The room was great -
The bathroom door needs a bit shaved off the bottom as it was very very hard to close I know its a older building but it seems to have moved as the floor is uneven bit scary if there was an earthquake I guess.
