Hotel Vasilis Nafplio

The property was spacious, very clean and good value. The host was super helpful and kind. Located up on a hill, you get a nice sneaky peak of Nafplio harbour. Please be aware that the 20 meters is uphill, so I recommend taxi which will only cost you about 5-6euro. Once there it is worth the price, peaceful location and service. Also, the walk down hill is fine to walk, save your money.

The hotel staff was nice enough, the room was very large. It included a fridge, sink, dishes, etc. I apprecited that there were spaces to park on-site. Once you get the hang of the room, it's a nice play to stay for the money paid. The deck was nice to hang out on, and it had a nice view of the fortress and of the sea. It sort of felt like a home away from home.

It was very hot when we arrived, and we lugged our suicases up two exterior spiral flights to the third floor for our hotel room. When we got in the room, it was also super hot! We put the AC on and it cooled down eventually, after running hard. I didn't like that when I left my room, even though I turned the AC up to a higher temperature so we wouldn't have to go through the process of cooling down the space from super hot to comortable, the staff came in and turned it off and actually opened a window on the door of my hotel room. It made it hotter, and it felt unsafe. I couldn't use the safe, either, so instead I carried all of my credit cards and passport around with me, when I would have preferred to leave it in the room. Guests should also note there is no elevator, that you cannot flush toilet paper, and the shower takes about 15 minutes to warm up the water to use.

Location and view were brilliant. The balcony was great for a quiet drink The room was very spacious had all we needed. Peaceful area at the end of the road so no traffic noise. Although be mindful there is a short steep hill to get to the property. We walked it though it’s a short hill Driving it is not an issue and there are ample car parking spots Staff were very helpful and friendly. The main town is a short 10 min walk away and there are shops and tavernas nearby. Very happy and would gladly stay again.

Beautiful view. Clean, spacious, comfortable room. Appreciate the shower curtain which kept the floor dry. Kitchen was equipped. Great location for visiting the city.

No complaints. The driveway to the hotel is a challenge, but typical for city driving. The hill is what gave the great views. Went out for coffee because I failed to buy at the market.
