Chelsea Guest House

When we arrived, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We were early getting there (our fault!), but they kindly stored our luggage safely until we could check in, which meant we could go out and enjoy ourselves without having to carry our bags around. The rooms were exactly as described and very clean, with everything we needed for a comfortable and easy stay. The beds and pillows were really comfy too. We booked both a triple and a double room, and both were excellent. The only thing worth mentioning is that the stairs are quite steep, so they may not be suitable for guests who struggle with stairs. Other than that, we genuinely can’t fault the place. We were completely happy with our stay, from the staff to the rooms, and would happily recommend it.

Ease of parking. Great location. Access to food and shops.

It was an overnight pit stop when we came to London to see a show and it was more reasonably priced than most options

It was inconvenient to have to go out and look for breakfast as there was nothing in the immediate vicinity unless you count Macdonald's I was a bit worried about the fire instructions as I couldn't immediately see how to release the restrictor on the window and then there were the bars to negotiate before gaining access to the fire escape. However, I took another look at it this morning and found the catch to release the window , after which I discovered that the window bars swung open like a gate and would have given access to the fire escape. But when you have arrived tired in. a new place it is too difficult... even when English is your first language. This could be overcome by showing people to their room and demonstrating the catch.

Unfortunately there wasn’t much to like about, It was bog standard, and not value for money. Room was very out dated.

Having given a room on the ground floor, My slide up and down window was faulty and couldn’t lock. Even when maintenance was called, They failed to repair it. And they couldn’t find me another room. So you could imagine not having a pleasant sleep.
