Overall it was a good place to stay, we was in a superior room with plenty of space so could easily fit a set of drawers

Location is fantastic , staff are helpful and friendly

Shower had mould round the seal which can easily be treated , only one small shelf above clothes hangers which meant living out of the suitcase for 3 days

A great place to stay. Clean and well priced. Ideal for visiting places.

Staff very welcoming and friendly. We have stayed at Forshaws a few times. It was lovely to be recognised by staff. Room clean and warm. Bathroom clean but flooring coming loose. Towels and bed linen clean and plentiful. It's good that the fire alarms work! We were rudely awakened at 1.00am due to alarm sounding... night staff on hand to assist. Bar area comfortable and good to be able to sit, relax and make our own entertainment. Good supply of tea and coffee free of charge.

Cost of breafast - a bit expensive for what was on offer, so we didn't bother. There was a smell of cannabis on the corridor where our room was. Night staff informed and went to check immediately but no culprit found.

Love this hotel

I stay here quiet often, must be my 6th time now. The staff cant do enough to help, any issues they are dealt with promptly. Beds are comfortable and rooms are clean. Location is brilliant, right in the middle of everything, cant fault the place. Will be returning soon 😊

We was moved to the 3rd floor as our TV wasn't working, there was a slight smell in the corridor apparently coming from the drains but couldnt smell it in the rooms.

the staff where verry friendly and helpful.

the room was dirty and they was no heating just a small plug in heater. with the price of the room I expect it to be clean and to have heating. it was so cold.

Not comfortable and wouldn't stay again

The bed was comfortable

We paid quite a bit compared to other hotels in the area for a superior room but the room was not anything close to what other rooms were like in other hotels. We were expecting the room to be nicer than it was, the place is really run down and states there is toiletries but we had a tiny bar of soup in the room and the shower gel was empty. We had to ask twice for some shower gel because one of the staff didn't know if they had any.

hardly no power points, the room was cold was given an extra heater but got the socket very hot so could only leave on for short periods, also bathroom was very dated for a top level room.

Put up with the room due to its great location.

The location was perfect for winter gardens, shopping, the tower etc

The room was in need of some care eg paint peeling off wall, bathroom needed a revamp. View awful, heating didn’t work they did bring a small portable heater pillows very hard didn’t have much sleep so uncomfortable.

Clean, budget hotel in convenient location suitable for an overnight stay.

We chose this hotel because of location as we visited for the illuminations. Talbot Street multi storey car park very convenient. Bed was very clean and comfortable. Self service breakfast was fine.

Breakfast table could have been wiped. External facing room on busy corner next to traffic lights was tolerable except for those cars playing loud music.

The foyer was not welcoming and had homeless people begging on the bottom of the stairs. The carpet was disgustingly dirty as were the corridors. Horrible smell as we arrived. Such a shame as it’s a beautiful building and has so much potential. Nothing like the photos and unfortunately the pillow had bed bugs!I got very bitten.

A good budget hotel which was warm and comfortable - especially the bed.

The hotel is in a great position with good tram and bus links while the majority of visitor attractions are within walking distance.

It is a very good budget hotel but some of the finishing touches could do with checking (carpet fitting) .

No heating small heater in the room with only one leg unsafe to use. No water pressure throughout the night and very poor in the morning unable to flush the toilet.

The breakfast was ok, cereal, toast, fruit, croissants, hard boiled cold eggs and ham. The location was fabulous. Bed was clean and shower room.

The window didnt shut properly so was freezing. The windows were filthy so couldn't see the lovely sea view properly.

Worth the money for the location near railway station and Tower Ballroom

Friendly, helpful staff. Good location. Plenty of tea, coffee supplies. Comfy bed and soft sheets. Great hot shower and huge soft towels.

Windows dirty but maybe that's a seaview hazard. No Hairdryer in room but supplied on request at reception. Entrance smelly and untidy, not a good first impression at the ground floor lift entrance but a lovely greeting and clean at first floor reception.

Great hotel in a great location.

The staff were friendly, the bedroom was great, the bed was comfortable, the room was perfect apart from no Hairdryer and in a excellent location

The room came with breakfast but what they fail to mention, it was just a continental breakfast not worth 10 pounds, the boiled eggs were grey and a few days old, the croissant was not much better. they have the facilities to do a good cooked breakfast which would make this hotel perfect!
