Parkwood Hotel

Location, beds, power plugs, staff.

The shower, which was so small that we (unaffectionately) called it THE DRIP.

Perfect location The stuff was very polite and always with a smile in their faces Very clean Had the feeling we lived in a house and not in a hotel Good breakfast

Too many stairs

Felt so welcoming and everyone was very kind to us, the location was great and so was the breakfast!

The location is great. The room is comfortable and includes everything I need.

When I booked, breakfast was included. When I arrived I was informed there was new management and they'd closed the kitchen at The Parkwood. Please bear in mind I would have paid for the breakfast in the overall bill. In compensation I was offered either a late check-out or breakfast in a property 15 to 20 minutes away. Late check-out is just annoying. I had to be at St Pancras station to catch a train by 9 am. Parkwood management would have known a late check-out offer was unlikely to be accepted. Re going to the other place for breakfast: come on! I average walking 18 kilometres a day in London, yes I've measured it. Do you think I want to start my day by walking 15 minutes in the wrong direction for a breakfast I'd booked to eat on the premises of Parkwood Hotel? No! A small refund would have been fair and appropriate. A measly 20 pounds refund would have been enough to earn my loyalty but no. My room wasn't cleaned the day before I was due to leave and I found a long, coarse hair on the sink. Not my hair. Finally, the staff were very nice but I asked if a taxi could be called to take me to the station. In the past Parkwood Hotel has had contact with reliable drivers. I was told to call an uber or just go down to the main road and hail a taxi. I'm not using my mobile phone. I'm from Australia. Every time I use my mobile my telco charges me $12. The final detail: it was raining.
