Loved atmosphere, clean, friendly staff!
Paid for a double room, got 2 singles beds put together. Made it uncomfortable at times when sleeping

Location and value for money. Staff very helpful
Needs work. Low end of 4 star. Nice touches like dressing gowns and quality soaps etc but a bit tired and poor shower and loo needed three flushes. Nice bar but only had lager for beers - no bitters or IPAs…every night oh our 3 night stay. So we tended to move in. I

Attention from staff. They were extremely accommodating when the first room we got had some noises coming through the wall. They upgraded us to a quieter room. Breakfast was also very good as was the location, a few steps from major Nottingham attractions.
Parking was a bit tight in the garage with an SUV.

Staff were very helpful. They resolved an issue with my account straightaway and didn't charge for breakfast either.
The breakfast was very disappointing.

Great central location. Lovely decor and good breakfast.
We were put in a room next to a cupboard with a really noisy generator. We asked to move and they offered us two single rooms but they were shabby and in need of decor and cleaning. We stayed put.

Very nice hotel with a ncp car park next door, £16 for overnight parking. Staff are very nice, room was clean and warm with a large comfortable bed. We had breakfast and it was delicious.

There was nothing to like from my stay.
Waiting 25 mins at reception to check in as no staff about. Room was not very clean on arrival.
Hotel bar didn’t open until 5pm.
Bathroom had mould , the room on arrival was freezing.
Way overpriced for this hotel.
I am just glad I only spent the one night as I was in Nottingham for a Christmas party , between us we actually had 6 rooms and all my colleagues were saying they would not return to this hotel , very poor and way overpriced.

Location was good, easy to find
Misleading about parking, as there are only 10 spaces at the hotel which have to be booked in advance, otherwise you have to use the NCP car park which is next door. This is not clear when booking and you only find out when you get your reminder a few days before staying, by which time the 10 spaces are cd already booked.

Great location, easy parking in the adjacent NCP, very friendly and welcoming staff, excellent cooked breakfast options
Room was a little tired and could do with updating
7.0 / 10.0
The hotel is well located in a quiet area of Nottingham city centre. It's a good hotel if you need a place to stay for one night. Equipped with everything you need.
The room was quite small (room type "crash pad"), even for the relatively low price; and the bathroom was tiny, e.g. the toilet roll holder protruded over the toilet such that one could hardly use the toilet itself.

Location is quite optimal, doesn't play any role for business trip. Breakfast was decent comparing to other low-tier hotel chains in UK. Good enough choice of options if English breakfast is not your favourite.
The room was small and cold, and the only heating provided is a manual electric heater (!) with no thermostat. The appliances and furniture are outdated and in poor condition, and the carpets look like they haven’t been cleaned or refreshed in decades. The hot water regulator came off after the first use, and the smelly shower curtains added to the overall unpleasant experience.

Bathroom was very tired looking. Pipework was rusty and dusty and mastic around the bath and shower was tatty.
Bedroom was fine.
as above

Location, right next to my work
The property is worn out and outdated. It needs a renovation. The prices are not cheap. The plumbing needs rework, as the water flow for toilet is not great. Hot water circulation was ok but can be better. Rooms are small for the price comparing to other hotels in Nottingham. An overall refresh is much needed

Plenty of hot water. Very friendly young lady serving in the bar.
Very tired and dated decor. Needs a revamp. Seemed to be a shortage of staff.

Not much ! Can’t quite see how it has 4*
Condom wrapper on the floor on arrival, smell of smoke in the corridor and someone having very noisy sex next door! Not to mention not being able to back in due to fire brigade being called in the middle of the night. Awful stay.

Location is excellent Ncp carpark next door and a discount card provided .. crashpad rooms are compact but everything is provided and very comfortable
5 minute walk from the square so this hotel is perfectly placed for a weekend
Windows are a bit drafty but the heater soon took the chill of the November air

Close by to where we needed to go. The bed was large and comfy. Complimentary tea/coffee/biscuits were lovely.
The air conditioning units that were outside were a bit noisy when it rained. A bit of mild in the cupboards

Great location. Quiet room
The bathroom window in room 102 would benefit from privacy film or net curtain

Location
Room amenities: executive room had a huge bed, bath robes, White company toiletries. Nice tea and coffee too. Plenty of hot water. Some interesting art work on the walls.
Decor: very dingy. Room needed repainting. Doors and walls chipped. Very tired. Corridors painted silver, lifts all black. Looked like a brothel in places.
Pillows rock hard cheap synthetic . Made my ear numb. Bathroom radiator rusty, toilet roll holder loose . Bathroom tiny, barely able to close door.

Four poster room was lovely and a good size.
Good location, helpful staff and good breakfast.
The only thing to mention was the bathroom didn’t have a toilet brush!

I stayed here early in the year I love the ambience and comfort of the hotel
I had a unpleasant surprise of a hair in my breakfast which put me off ,the waitress apologized but asked me what did I want do ??

Toilet seat fell down so we had to use sellotape to hold it up. Bathroom extremely small. No fridge.

Good location for the city centre, nice and quiet. Staff were very friendly and welcoming entrance.
The hotel parking. We booked the “nearby” secure hotel parking, directions to it were difficult to follow it looks like we were driving down a pedestrian street, sharp turn into the narrow underground carpark and tight entrance even for a small sports car. Would book the hotel again but use the multi storey next to the hotel.

The location of this hotel is second to none , really good place and parking close by a bonus
We have been coming yearly for birthdays to this hotel for around 8 years now and one of the main reasons we go back every year apart from the location is the beautiful decor and the rooms are always clean and welcoming . This year we all felt a little let down by the rooms , bar and reception . The reception used to look so grand with the huge display of real flowers as the centrepoint but this year it was a huge display of plastic / fake flowers . The bar and rooms both have the same problem they are looking tired , which is a shame because we thought they were going to be giving these areas a facelift but not to be .
The paintwork is dirty , worn away in areas and the furniture needs either a really gd clean or re upholstering . The bathroom has several spots of black mould ? In between some of the tiles and the towels looked worn and well used .
The duvet cover on the bed had a rip down seam of around 10-15 inches which was obvious so not something housekeeping would have missed .The windows in the room needed a gd wipe down on the sills and also the plug in heater needed a wipe down .
The other major ick that we all noticed as we visited with family / friends was the lack of hospitality in the room even for the basics .
3 Coffee pods per room , not even enough for a drink each per couple for the weekend stay , 2 packets of biscuits per room , and also the toilet roll 😂😂😂 We had 2 rolls in the bathroom but each roll was only 1/2 full so we ran out after the first day and had to find the cleaning staff on the Sat morning for more , which my husband found really embarrassing , surely they could have put spares in the closet next to the bathroom . Even after the cleaners had been , the coffee pods , biscuits and water bottles weren’t, replaced .
Think we are going to have a really close look when we rebook it for next year, because as the standards have started to drop the price is still on the increase so not very good value for the cost .

Great location!!😃😃Very nice staff. Room was comfortable, as was the bed. Didn’t have any of the food🤨 Very close to castle and caves!
Lifts were annoyingly slow. The bath was a bit dated needed some minor repairs. Fitness area was small and very limited, really sized for no more than 2 in it at a time.

Huge NCP car park next door, right next to the castle so the location was great, bed was super comfy and little room was perfect for one person!
8.0 / 10.0
The room was clean, had everything I needed, the staff were polite, the hotel is just outside the castle and was in a good location for us, a ten minute walk to the Rock City venue.
The decor was not to my taste, not very relaxing in my humble opinion. Other than that not much.

this is supposedly a 3 star hotel but honestly I can't see the difference with a 4-stars - and it is very central
after booking you get the option of booking a car space. DO NOT get the hotel car park - it is small, poky, further than the NCP car park, really awkward to maneuver in or out - it is much better to get the NCP car park which is just next door. bonus, from some rooms you may be able to view your car if you park strategically - I had room 611 and I could see the top floor of the NCP car park

Incredible location, youre basically next to the castle and a short walk from loads of nice vars and restaurants. Parking was handy, rooms were comfortable and the staff were really friendly. We came for a wedding and decided to stay theee nights, had a wonderful stay.

Pillows and probably needs a little updating but for the price do not let this put you off

Good breakfast choice and good location, they did let us change rooms after the first room was dirty
The rooms weren’t clean and very dusty and had dirt on walls and architraves, the mattress was top to bottom covered in yellow stains. The second room’s mattress was better but room was still very dusty.
