The location is amazing, the views and the grounds are beautiful, the hotel is extremely comfortable and the staff were lovely.
A couple of small letdowns in the room, ie grubby paintwork and having to climb in/stand in a rather dated plastic bath to take a shower, where the glass panel didn’t close properly and the shower leaked on the floor unless the panel was held in place by hand - which is difficult when you’re trying to shower.

location and the hotel itself were excellent. The staff were extremely helpful, the food very good.
We did not expect the bistro restaurant to be mainly closed during our stay, as it would have been our chosen place for dinner (although it is separate from the hotel in the port)

the staff was rude and not so helpful we were serve wine in ridiculously small glasses and when we ask for a change the waiter literally throw new glasses at us and roll his eyes
