A very pleasant visit to Arbanasi, we will definitely be back

Originally, we wanted to stay in Veliko Tarnovo, but the selection wasn´t diverse and the prices were much higher for our group as well. Arbanasi, however, is a great choice, a beautiful historic village with spirit, surrounded by medieval Orthodox monasteries. The hotel has a great location in the center with beautiful views, a great pool, its own restaurant and a sufficient breakfast. There is a 24-hour reception, plenty of parking spaces and we also used the children's playroom. Veliko Tarnovo, which is definitely worth seeing and visiting, is a leisurely 15-minute drive away.

Unless absolutely necessary, I don´t recommend driving into the underground garage beneath the hotel. It's nice that it's available for shade to car, but it's definitely not for everyone, as there is a really very little space to maneuver :-)

The room was old, the baby cot was wery worn out, they kept us in the reception with a small baby until the check in time, even if we came just 1 hour before time

Beautiful and cozy

Great location with amazing view from the terrace and the restaurant. Very beautiful flowers everywhere. Cozy feeling.

I recommend the place

We loved the location and stayed in an Alpine Room, which was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. It made our stay extra enjoyable!

There was no bidet in the bathroom, which seems to be common in Bulgaria. While it wasn’t a major issue, guests used to having one may want to be aware.

The view is unique, the room is great, the pool is clean and peaceful. But the breakfast was not up to par.

Great complex at the top of a hill with view.

Nice view, clean rooms. The sun terrace is a nice place for the summer days. The pool was clean.

Fair value , a lot of potential , certainly room for improvement

The view was great and the facility is well maintained

Bad smell of sewer in the bathrooms, very soft mattresses for solid build individuals, breakfast closed at 10.00 this means a 10:02 refill of coffee is impossible

Superb view and excellent positioning, decent services, restaurant available until 10 PM

- superb view and positioning - restaurant available all day long (until 10 PM) - very comfortable bed (we had the double room with view to Veliko) - pool available at the location - big room

- bathroom could be a bit upgraded. when taking a shower, since there were no curtains for the bathing area, the entire floor filled with water - the walls between the rooms are on the thin side and you care easily hear the noises in the next room

Great location with a view, good food and friendly staff

Great location with an excellent view from above to the city of Veliko Tarnovo, which was also a very short drive by car. The hotel has free parking, a pool, a big enough restaurant with good food and friendly helpful staff. The room was pretty big, the beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We enjoyed our stay.

Even thought we did not use it.....we believe the pool should have been bigger :)

Not queen bed

The place is very nice with a splendid view of Veliko Tarnovo.

I didnt like that in my reservation is queen bed but in the room you get two single beds next to each other. When I mentioned this issue to reception, they sent someone to put something between beds to not feel the gap between them.

Convenient location to explore Arbanassi by foot and Veliko Tarnovo by short car drive. Spacious, comfortable, clean apartment. Balcony with incredible views over Veliko Tarnovo and beyond. Large, comfortable bathroom. Strong shower. Strong air-conditioning. Refreshing pool. Responsive reception staff. Free parking adjacent to hotel.

Dated furniture/decor. Poor breakfast, incl. no black tea! Too loud restaurant/pool-side music, playing on loop.

Day trip

The place was lovely. I couldn't get in the pool or eat outside on account of the weather but I can absolutely see how those things would be amazing. The staff was nice, everything was prepared. I loved it and would return.

A whole lot of the staff was missing when I was visiting but I am willing to excuse it on account of the time of year. Breakfast was unimaginative but otherwise totally okay.

Breakfast is exceptional! Many options, good coffee, very fresh food and friendly people around. The panorama view is marvelous.

The restaurant serve only salads, grilled meet and fast cooking foods. There are no slow cooked Bulgarian food like a few years ago.

Excelent view over the city of Veliko, excellent location in the village of Arbanasi, excelent air quality - many sparrows

We had a roof room - with a starange balcony, you could not blackout over night, musquitos, pool is really small Food is modest - just 1 type of soop, no vegetable dish other than salads We have been put up in the 'new wing' - a little walk away from the restaurant

The food was really good. The view was amazing. The rooms were clean. The staff was kind.

Next to our room was the loundry room and it was a little bit lound. When we entered the rooms there was a not very pleasant smell. The music playlist was made from 5-10 songs which were restorant or elevator type songs and they were on repeat all day.

It could improve the breakfast food, to be more varied and vegetarian/vegan friendly. The pool is small for all the people there if the property is fully booked. If a second pool will be available and separate from children ones will great for those who want to enjoy a peaceful swim.
