Peppers Bluewater Resort

The location was great, so close to the water and a very good price. Plenty to do nearby.

Restaurant onsite and decent views from the restaurant deck.

Parking was full so having to cart luggage two tiers was not so good.

Location was excellent

Breakfast very noisy due to the number of people staying and touring on buses

Two amazingly welcoming staff, Maddison and Emma, who should be managing the resort, incredible dedication to keeping large groups and individuals happy and meeting the guest needs .

First night so noisy from trucks, housekeeping shooting and banging walks early in the morning, room not all soundproof from guests up late. Several staff members comments that they prefer Asian tourists . Restaurant manager very vocal about political views during meals. With the exception of Maddison, reception staff rude, untrained and inattentive, on their mobiles , told three different rates for our second nights stay then after we had agreed to stay the room rate DOUBLED. We had already cancelled our transport so had to stay. Seven calls from reception during early morning then being told oh got the room . Never anywhere to sit and relax , there are zero facilities apart from two sofas in the reception always FULL of load groups of shouting foreigners, yet one staff member asked me to go outside when I was having a mobile call to a grieving family member in the corner of the room. Shocked at how inept the reception staff were , received a call to our room questioning that ‘ two men’ are staying in the one bed. Lake T, Peppers, still back in the 1950s, several staff cannot speak English and give you a stern friendly if you dare ask them a question in English, grunt then walk off. We actually visited to consider buying one of the units as an investment, NEVER. That’s why staff like Emma,would be utterly brilliant with running guest relations , and Maddison in reception, really stood out. Both had amazing local knowledge, how to treat guests and multi tasking .
