Peppers Beacon

Location and view were superb. Check in was very easy. Short walk to restaurants and shops and boat trips. Parking was first come first served. There is a convenient elevator from basement car park.

The blinds were very dirty. TV in main bedroom didn’t work. Cupboard handles were loose.

Close to town, laundry facilities, comfortable beds

View was limited

Great position from the town

Nothing

The location being close to town was good, some spots had a lovely view.

Unfortunately, the noise was a big issue for us. The car park is directly underneath the accommodation and there doesn’t seem to be much soundproofing, so you can hear the cars coming and going. We could also hear quite a lot of noise from the laundry and cleaning areas. There was also a door in a bedroom that couldn’t be opened and didn’t seem to seal properly. It made noise throughout the night, which became really frustrating when we were trying to sleep. There also seems to be very little insulation between the different levels. You can hear people walking around, closing doors and even using the toilet. We expected some noise when staying in shared accommodation, but this was much more noticeable than we expected and definitely affected our sleep and overall stay.
