    One of the most disappointing stays I’ve ever had. Frankly speaking, I paid $*** AUD for one night, expecting a great experience after seeing so many positive reviews on social media. Unfortunately, what we experienced was very different. The room itself was small, which I can understand and accept given the hotel’s location and the view, I suppose that’s the trade off. However, there were several other issues that made the stay extremely disappointing. The clothes hanging area was dusty, and some of the furniture appeared to be of very cheap quality. The hotel was also undergoing a significant amount of construction during our stay, and the hallway leading to our room had a strong sewage like smell, which was extremely unpleasant. Another disappointment was the lack of complimentary drinking water. When I called reception, the lady advised me that the tap water was safe to drink and offered to bring me some, but explained that it would simply be tap water. For a hotel charging $600 AUD per night, I don’t think expecting complimentary bottled water is unreasonable (not blaming the receptionist lady here, it’s on management policy). Overall, the experience was nowhere near what I expected for the price we paid. We genuinely felt like we had been scammed, the experience completely ruined our mood. I hope management looks into the standards and services being provided. I would not return to this hotel, and based on our experience, I would not recommend it to others either. Very disappointing and, honestly, quite sad.

    Not only is this a fabulous hotel to stay in with amazing views of the lake and mountains but it’s enough to make you want to come back to Queenstown just to stay here again. The design of the hotel was warm yet a very sophisticated cool vibe. The staff were just incredible and certainly made sure the stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Well done to the entire team for designing this hotel and creating such a fabulous atmosphere.

    I would say, that 6 hours, from 10am to 4pm, with the ‘pls do room’ hanger on the door handle, would guarantee a tidied room upon returning from a day of tramping about, but alas, no. Otherwise the QT is a convenient 15 stroll to the busy waterfront. The room was spacious and well appointed.
