We were very happy here for a short break holiday.

We thought the location of this hotel was excellent, very close to the main station and within easy walking distance of the lake. There are plenty of restaurants close by which gave us a choice of menus in the evenings. The staff were friendly and efficient. The buffet breakfast had enough variety for us and we enjoyed sitting watching the world go by as we ate it.

Great value for money.

All of the above. I have stayed at the Hotel des Alpes previously. While the rooms are small, they are perfectly functional, they are spotlessly clean, and the bed is comfortable. The location is great, close to the Cornavin station, to buses and to Lake Geneva. I enjoyed the breakfast. The staff were superb.

A nice fit with my needs

The room was a good size for me. They loaned me a Swiss plug converter. Coffee in the lobby was great. Excellent location between the. Train station and the lake. I walked almost everywhere. I used the free public transportation pass, too.

The room was very comfortable with good facilities e.g. coffee machine, fridge, aircon etc. The location was great being near the railway and bus stations and also proximity to the lake, restaurants & cafes.

It was ok but I would stay some where else next time.

The transport passes and closeness to shops near downtown.

It seems similar to an econo lounge in the US they are a place to sleep but not that great. The room and hall ways had a sour smell. Like old milk or cheese.

Good apart from dodgy AC

Great location, comfortably sized room (not huge but expected for Europe and the price!). Room not facing the street so quite quiet. Staff lovely.

Terrific location — close to train station, lake, and restaurants and shopping. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Convenient but not without fault

The location is excellent for the airport and station. The room was large and well equipped :) the staff were really really friendly and very willing to help.

Shower when I arrived and I’m the morning were cold. Sound proofing in the room was quite bad, I could clearly hear conversations in the hallway.

Pigeon’s on windowsill (405) opened window to bird poo and pigeons everywhere. So couldn’t leave window open. Bit cramped in the room, but ok. Pillows too flat n soft

Fantastic, practical and comfortable hotel, very friendly staff!

The hotel is very well located, rooms are quiet and practical. It has everything needed, is clean and comfortable. Personnel is very kind and go out of there way to help you and make you feel at home!

The bed was a bit hard but ok (I guess this depends on preferences). I would suggest better more firm pillows.

Service was fantastic.

Location was superb, no taxi's required all amenities were on the doorstep. The train station was only a 3 minute walk to the hotel. Terrace was excellent and the staff were all lovely..

Room was great the only problem was the staircase steps to the bed on the mezzanine floor, were a little small and the bed was in the eves so there was not a lot of head space to move around.

Excellent property for the price in Geneva.

Literally less than a 5 minute walk to the central train station. It’s also just a short walk to Lake Geneva and then across the bridge to Old Town. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful with suggestions for what to do and how to get to places. The staff quickly accommodated us with a corkscrew and an electrical converter when requested. The coffee machine had a nice selection of beverages and was easy to use. The water dispenser had both still and sparkling water.

The carpet on the stairs was worn and stained. A fresh coat of paint for our room and stairwell are needed. A couple of hooks in our bathroom would have been nice.

The location is perfect, 2min walk from the main train station, very clean rooms and friendly staff.

The room was extremely hot and this could not be regulated, opening the windows was too loud to be able to sleep. Breakfast had limited healthy options.
