Gorgeous grounds. Enjoyed the draughts board. Lovely view from breakfast table. Room large, warm and comfortable. Public areas pleasant.
Cooked breakfast was a bit cold and greasy. The mushrooms in particular were awful. Continental selection not very imaginative and did run out and was slow to be replenished. Seemed very expensive £7 extra for some menu items. Long wait for coffee and toast.

Breakfast was slow, either the food was hot and the coffee was cold or vice versa. Although items were replaced rapidly when asked to.
The incessant music played in the restaurant, too loud and intrusive, although the staff did turn it down on request, we could still hear it in our room on the floor above.
